“Talk of saffron and Phoenician trading routes had left her thinking about bouillabaisse and dipping bread into ochre-colored aioli. She saw herself standing over dishes of pork cooked with prunes, chicken flecked green with tarragon, and jewel-like pears poached in red wine.”~Caroline Scott, Good TasteOh what yumminess!

It's more like a food court, but great nonetheless. I do wish they had more French/European items in the shopping section, but all of the restaurants are great.
Many types of fresh fruit, vegetables and prepared ethnic dishes. Eclectic menus across booths in wide floor space. Fresh bakery. Serves alcoholic drinks. Seems hidden away in Metra train station. I lived a couple of blocks from it for years and never knew it was there, not being a commuter.

The Chicago French Market is everything but French, just the front of the market and the music give off that vibe. It's run-down, not appealing at all. Totally disappointed
I wouldn't consider this a true French Market, but you can find fresh produce, yummy crepes, hard to find high end snacks and parking is validated. Plus there's live music on the weekend so it can make for a nice stop on a family weekend outing. This place tends to draw the business crowd during the week and families on weekends not that's when most of the vendors are closed.Parking: If you park in the designated parking garage you can get free validated parking at the information desk in your way out.

Ordered the pastrami, glad I did. I also ordered some chips (not pictured) which I didn’t need to. The sandwich alone was enough and was the phenomenal! Choice of cheeses, I went with provolone. Give this place a try in a market full of great places to indulge. These guys do it up right!

The original Chicago Food hall and my favorite in the city. Some great local food vendors, wide variety of options, a much different and more enjoyable atmosphere compared to any other food hall in the city.

Only thing French about this place was "merci" on the garbage can. I was expecting more "Eataly" type of experience. It was rows of food stands crowded by downtown business folks.
Just walked through to see what's in there
