We went at Christmas time. They decorate the restaurant from the ceiling to the floor in lights. You can't help but get in the festive mood. We did make reservations and we came earlier and they still sat us. The staff was very friendly. I started with a cocktail called the Ramblers Rest. It was tasty. OUTSTANDING experience… the grub, the service, the “craic agus ceol!” We were in on a Sunday evening recently and the service was wonderful and atmosphere so seasonal! The fish and chips was fantastic and the Shepherd’s pie is box office! Owned by a lovely couple with hospitality in their blood. Can’t wait to visit again! 🇮🇪 🇺🇸

We love ‘The Chief’s’. The food is always excellent. The vibe and atmosphere is incredibly inviting and fun. And during the holiday season, the entire place is alive with a festive air. It’s really off the hook as far as decorations go.
