My husband and I had shrimp fried rice and shrimp egg foo young it was absolutely delicious. The egg foo young was a little on the sweet side but it was very tasty. Fried rice was not greasy I loved it.

I only did take out, I really enjoyed the flavor of it but the quality/cut of the meat turned me off.
I got orange chicken and there’s some chewy parts and tendons that just don’t sit right with me. I threw the majority out.

So have been ordering from China Dragon for almost 7 years. When first ordered from them, they were a great low price Chinese spot that had great quality and taste for the price. Now, prices of dishes have nearly doubled. The price of soup is outrageous, more than doubling, so won't even order it. I know it is not worth it, yet their competitors have not gouged prices on their soup. The price of Crab Rangoons has gone up 40% plus, which used to be amazing and now are borderline horrible. And the rice dishes have skyrocketed. You cannot raise the price and then LOWER the quality and flavor and expect to keep customers. You just cannot. I highly doubt I will order from here again, since I can order better Chinese restaurants now for the same price, whereas I went to them because they were cheap but still good, but now they are expensive and not that good. Very unfortunate the new management team has done this and ruined a pretty great thing.
This is my go to Chinese restaurant outside of Chinatown. The food reminds me of the kind of food my own parents made in the restaurant they owned when I was a kid.

This is the best Chinese food in pilsen, maybe even in chicago. The jalapeño fried rice, the orange chicken, and the crab Rangoon. Those are some of my recommendations. Heads up, this place is a bit pricey compared to other places, but the food is worth it. Also it is take out only or delivery only.
