I was a little surprised that this Chinese-style bakery was so close to my local bakery, despite being so far away. The flavors are familiar and unique and the prices are reasonable. There' re many bread and cake types to choose. I especially like the bread with the barbecue pork.

Much better than the branch in Chinatown. I thought they were unrelated! The baked foods are superb.

obsessed w this place. my favorite type of bread: soft, sweet, salty, and yeasty all at once. cash only, be prepared bc u will be so sad if u go and cant get anything
The atmosphere is okay of course not the same as the in China Town, but its the original place so I still love it, dim sum and some other items are good.

Absolutely delicious. The bbq pork bun, pork and vegetable bun, and sesame ball were my favorite. Affordable too. I definitely plan on coming back!

Been there a couple of times, bread is delicious, I mostly buy sweet bread and sesame balls which are my favorites, they don't have as much variety as the one in Chinatown but still decent. Prices run about 2.50 a piece for most bread and higher for some others. Also for those of us who live in the Northside is a great alternative.

Amazing sesame seed ball and very friendly staff — will definitely be back
Chinatown location and they’re great every time. However, the ones I ordered from here were disappointing. They were very watery, and after I ate one, I get a pretty bad stomachache. I ordered 6 egg tarts, so I tried another the following day, and it curdled and separated after being warmed up. It was very very warm in the bakery, so this may have had an effect on the egg tarts.

Headed here after having lunch at ‘Tank Noodle’ and got a couple egg tarts and baos but they’ve got a pretty good selection. They’ve got pastries, cookies, small cakes, muffins, egg rolls, zong zi and more.
Lady that picks out food for customers is super friendly and don’t hesitate to ask questions if you have any. Great place for a sweet treat after a meal. Location is great being right next to the Argyle train station too.
