Food was very tasty. I enjoyed it a lot, and the staff were super helpful in me chosing an option. That was 5 year old friendly. The only downside is it is located inside Navy Pier, where on a hot day in the 90Fs, the air conditioning was being turned off and on, and it just made the eating experience unpleasant because of an inconsistent temperature in the seating area, and when it was hot, super uncomfortable. :( But the staff was amazing and food was pretty good despite that. Would return again though not on a hot day where Aircon is required.

Came because of the great reviews. Ordered junior Italian beef and was surprised at how small it was. Also surprised that both giardanera and pepper cost extra. Unfortunately, beef leaked in my bag on way home, so probably can’t fairly rate quality of beef without au jus.

Traveled 1200 miles for this place! I eat it everyday I’m here! Try the ooyee gooyee if you’re not that hungry. Girlfriend is a vegetarian and she loves the veggie sandwich!

I didn't know what could justify a 4.9 but yeah there's no reason to eat anywhere else at the pier.

Good bread, beef and friendly service at a non-tourist-trap price.

And the crusty bread, which softens in the jus, is an upgrade over the typical hoagie

Worst veggie food ever. Veggie bowl only contain potatoes, pepper and onion. That also full of oil and salt. Don’t try anything veg.

So good! By far the best option at Navy Pier. The owner was super friendly and fun to talk to. We ordered an Italian Beef, Meatball, and Italian Sausage sandwich. All were great, but the sausage was our favorite and we went back and ordered another one! Reasonably priced for the pier, too. Highly recommend!

Ok, this little place is the GEM of navy pier. My husband and I both got the Italian beefs and our friend had a beef & meatball bowl and everything was absolutely amazing. Not to mention, the owner was absolutely adorable and incredibly friendly, and they have SIX dollar beers! This will be my new food spot any time I'm at Navy Pier, can't wait to introduce out of town friends to these freaking delicious sandwiches!!!

Wet Italian beef sandwich for the win!!! So delicious, the potatoes that come with it are very tasty! Worth the walk!!! I don’t know if my picture says a thousand words but that’s when I remembered to put the sandwich down and take a picture. 😂😂
