Saw two great concerts in the last two weeks @City Winery. Madeine Peyroux with opener Joy Clark, and last night Eric Gales and opener Mathias Lattin. Both concert experiences were tremendous, along with very nice people there to enjoy the show. Sound was to perfection, and sight lines were A+.Had a nice meal, and service. So this was a great experience!

Great place to be. The atmosphere is cozy, comfortable and just the right size venue. Food is great and the location is ideal. Be back May 24 for Boney James.

I love City Winery as a venue and have enjoyed all the concerts i have been at.I was at Michelle Collins on Tuesday for a birthday celebration and i was extremely disappointed. This show was not at all funny and quite frankly, was disturbing. There was a part in the show about the weight of obese animals. Why would this be funny? I was appauled and almost left.I will return to City Winery but never to see Michelle Collins.

I know it's a chain venue but it's really great for live music. The acoustics are top notch. It's an intimate setting too. Drawbacks are the drink menu. Lots of obscure wine varieties and lots of obscure beer selections. Would it kill you to put a Coors Light on the menu? Service could be faster too. Have dinner elsewhere then come here for the show.

The atmosphere had a good vibe, I just wish there were more elbow room! We were packed in like sardines. Lol! Space out your tables more.

I love The Winery but unfortunately it isn’t as exclusive as it use to be and the audience has definitely changed.

Beautiful experience! My only issue is with the seating; it’s way too tight.

Horrible experience with venue security. I brought in a camera that I wasn't aware I couldn't have. She then threatened to kick me out when I asked where the rules said that because I wouldn't have brought my camera. I put the camera away and the security guard watched me for 30 minutes while I ate my dinner and then dragged me out to the lobby when the main show was starting and they took my bag from me. Even though I had followed their rules and put the camera away, it was stored in the bag under the table and couldn't be seen. The workers behind the counter then said I had been told multiple times, I informed them that I was told once and put it away. That the lady also threatened to kick me out the very first time and the workers looked shocked as if she didn't have the right to do so. Even then they refused to let me.watch the show even though my camera was off and put away. They all just claimed it was from above and refused to listen. Honestly a horrible experience and the security guard should be fired, she lied about her interaction with me. The venue said no flash photography and no videos. I was doing neither while people all around me have cell phones out recording video. Honestly pathetic and I will not be back at the venue. Tacos were bland too and they refused to cook sliders to order and they came out cold. Pizza was good.

Went to City winery to see Howie Day. Love this place for a show. Front staff for seating are always lovely and someone as always available to help. The food is great and good vegetarian options. And of course the wine is delightful. Our server was attentive and lovely. If you find a an artist you like, you should go! It won't disappoint.

We so enjoyed our visit at City Winery on W Randolph. The ambience was just what you want for a winery and music venue with darker lighting, warm wood and communal tables in the performance hall. Staff was so responsive, and they happily took the time to take our picture. All good.

Great venue for concerts! Wish the food menu was more desirable but have been consistently disappointed when ordering. Hands down my favorite place for concerts though ?

I was excited April 7th, 2024 to see one of my favorite artist Kevin Ross, however that dwindled upon viewing my seating arrangement from the waitress. You are totally crammed next to another person and forced to share a table, with the seats sitting sideways, not facing the stage. This is not shown on the map when you book the tickets. I believe the seating needs to be changed accordingly to actually view the stage. Next, the waitress came to our table to correct seating arrangements and I thought that was very helpful, however, I wish they would’ve taken this initiative as they were bringing out the food. The manager bought my food to the table and didn’t reassure which seat it goes to, instead just gave my dinner plate to the first person at the table. I received the wrong food three times and had to get up in the middle of the concert twice to rectify the situation. I couldn’t even drink my wine because I had no meal to accompany it. Therefore, I requested it to be taken off of my bill. To fully rectify this, I need a future meal credit or venue credit because this experience was horrible. I reached out to the manager several times to no avail. Chicago City Winery has to do better, and this is actually one of my favorite venues in the summertime.
