The first time eating at this restaurant and the last time. The worst experience, me and my hubby ordered on the app and waited at-least 20 min went and asked if the pickup was ready and the cashier was so rude and said I don’t see your order and didn’t bother to check if the order came through. Finally after asking someone else they said we don’t see it because the app doesn’t seem to be working. They finally made our order after waiting for 30 mins and the order was still wrong. Talked to the manager and he said he would refund our money but never got the refund. Their customer service is horrible and they are in the business of ripping people off.

I use to live in the area. This use to be a go-to spot! I recently visited after years but prices have gone up quite a bit for your regular fast food type place. Other than that, place still is good!

At 61 years old I've been going to Clark Street dogs and getting the Philly cheese steak sandwich since I was 25 yrs old. Which is always been exceptional. I've tried other places and none compare. last night my fiance and I went there and I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich with onion rings and she had a combo and a couple of sodas. The combo was tasty but the sausage was cooked to the point that it was kind of hard and the sandwich was a pretty dry. Unfortunately the worst part of the meal was the Philly cheese steak sandwich. It was really wet and watery. The taste was off I don't know if it was the mushrooms possibly. We took it to go I've never seen nothing like it they've had exceptional sandwiches every time I went there except this one time and I swear I will not go back to that store again.
It cost us $50 for two sandwiches and onion ring and two small drinks.
It was also very cold in there!
Things have gotten really expensive there and the quality has really dropped Good luck with your dinner at Clark Street dogs.

Decided to stop in and try the Gyros that unfortunately was a terrible decision. They were incredibly dry. And the meat tasted like it was out of date I just wasted $12. I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

I just went there and got a 12 piece wings with buffalo sauce on the side...well let me tell u they just put some raw unseasoned wings in the fryer and gave them to me just like that . The wings were whiter them my skin ..no flavor whatsoever. I'm a cook and I'm sorry you don't just give someone wings without no seasoning...I mean no salt & pepper ...NOTHING

Bartender at the “bar” didn’t want to serve me after she saw I bought a drink at the front counter instead of the bar.. didn’t even know they had a bar.. I was going to order a few rounds of shots and tip generously.. oh well.

Food was the worst and very expensive would not recommend and less your very wealthy and have no taste buds.
The worst tasting hotdogs in the city of Chicago. My hotdogs was infused with sitting water with no flavor. Please walkby this establishment with shame. I would like my $11.00 dollars back.
Very pricey. Chili is great.

Clark Street Dog: Overpriced and Overrated
I was quite disappointed with my recent visit to Clark Street Dog. While it's a Chicago institution, the prices are simply exorbitant. For a basic Polish and fries, I paid a whopping twenty dollars! It's hard to justify such a high price, especially when there are numerous other places in Chicago offering quality hot dogs and burgers at much more reasonable prices.
If you're looking for a truly satisfying Chicago-style hot dog experience without breaking the bank, I highly recommend checking out Patio Beef. They offer delicious food at a fraction of the cost. And also a longtime local favorite.
While Clark Street Dog may have a nostalgic appeal, it's clear that they're relying on their reputation to charge premium prices. Unless you're a die-hard fan willing to pay a hefty premium, I'd suggest exploring other options.

The food here is overpriced....2 dogs a fries and a drink should not cost $23 with tax....I can go sit in a real restaurant for that kind of money....the same order at a different place costs $12-$15
....rip off (and the employee agreed with me that it was expensive)...and they have the audacity to show a tip screen if you pay with a card.... pathetic 😂🤣

I walked in and the man who walked in behind me got waited on first. I got a hamburger and fries because that's what I came for. The hamburger and fries cost $18.00 and they bring up on the computer check what percent your tip will be, that kinda got me, because I'm older and on a budget, the whole bill cost over $22. For a hamburger and fries.
The fries were over cooked, and the lettuce, 1 piece, was wilted bad. The patty had no seasoning, so the burger was in need of intervention. Salt, in my case. All in all, I've had worse, but also better. I'll stick to the burgers at Sonic. I really wanted to like this place.
Parking: There's about 8 parking spots right out front.
