I can’t say enough about how delicious the food is. We had eggplant parm, chicken vesuvio, and shrimp scampi and we loved every single thing! Only made better by the family atmosphere and the service of Ally and Chuy! These two treated us like regulars! Had the best night here on our mother-daughter trip!

It's a classic! Great ambiance and service. Sit at the bar, a booth, or table in the back (and outdoors if it's that time of year). Cocktails are made how they were intended - gin martini with olive served in the perfectly sized glass.

We usually love Club Lago, but it was really off tonight. Our server took a long time to greet us even though they were not crowded. We had to tell her we wanted to order a drink. We ordered a salad to start. She did what we really hate in a restaurant.... She brought out entrees when we were still eating our salads. We said we weren't done with our salad, and she just pushed things aside to put our entrees down. She never cleared the salad plates. We had to ask someone to take them away. She asked if I wanted another glass of wine when I was done with my entree. They were out of veal, so I ordered a chicken dish. She charged for the veal. It was changed when I told the owner. We'll just chalk it up to a bad night and assume it will be better next time

Quintessential Chicago food, family, and hospitality! This place has been around for a long time and they have managed to perfect so many classic Italian dishes. Everything we ordered had a depth of flavor to it that you just can't find anywhere, to include the crispiest crusting on their veal parmigiana I've ever had the pleasure to eat. It's a real trick to maintain that crunch under sauce and cheese, but they do it right! It's an old school place that has managed to maintain the perfect formula of great food, an engaging staff, and homemade comfort!

Recommended to us by friends, we are monthly visitors to the neighborhood. Welcomed in for a drink at the bar one night, we came back two consecutive evenings once for dinner and once for drinks. Warmly welcomed each time and they remembered us. Four visit was with my cousin, a regular. Treated like royalty. Same with the fifth visit. What’s important to know is that the brothers instill a “come as you are” vibe. Food is excellent, but what’s equally important is the welcoming culture, Thanks GianCarlo and Guido!

Walk in the door and feel transported back in time to days of speakeasys and gangsters. The menu features all the classic dishes you'd expect, authentically cooked and plated with attention to detail. Been here on numerous occasions and every dish leaves me excited to return.

My wife and I have been coming here for years and the service and overall vibe is always awesome. Today was the first time we brought our baby and it was coincidentally our wedding anniversary. The owner, busser, and bartender were all so friendly to her and even threw in some limoncello and a cannoli as a celebratory treat.
I will always talk this place up to anyone that asks for an Italian spot. Truly an old school chicago classic!
I've been going to Club Lago to two decades. I live out of state now but always make it a point to go for lunch or dinner when I'm in town. Great neighborhood spot. I highly recommend.
