Green Door Tavern was fantastic! We watched the Superbowl here and had a great time. The food is fantastic and a wider array than you'd expect from a typical bar of this type. The staff were absolutely great too! Our waitress was so kind and on top of things for us and the bartender was skilled and thoughtful! I will tell all my friends to stop in here when in Chicago.
The tavern itself is great. We live in Chicago and have been here many times. We finally made it into the speakeasy this time, after a 2 hour wait. I'd say it isn't worth the wait. They have interesting cocktails but the cabaret show was 5 minutes! If that's the draw for you, don't bother.

What a great place. Very old, very quaint, very comfortable. I felt like I was in the cheers bar from the 80s. Everyone was super fun. The staff, while being busy, was still attentive and friendly. The drinks were great. They have a more of little side rooms so check them out. Didn't try any of the food but the menu looked good. Music was good and at just the right volume. You could still talk but hear it.
