Went for St. Pattys day weekend and it was a disaster. They advertised bottomless drinks and food for 2 hours, but after 1.5 hours all we barely had was the FIRST round of drinks, no food. It took them nearly 2.5 hours to bring out apps which is pictured here. 2.5 HOURS FOR SOME YOGURT AND BURNT EDAMAME. Everyone in the restaurant had the same issue. EVERYONE. Worst brunch ever (and I was on kitchen nightmares so that says a lot). Once the main entree came (after nearly 3 hours) it was cold and bland. We tipped the waiter and just left. we wasted almost four hours for some yogurt and three drinks that took forever to get. They also falsely advertised live music/ dj which was not there.

I spent two weeks in Chicago and I went here five times. The food was good , service depended on waiter and generally was good. What I think they need to review is the music too loudly. The sound need to go a little down to let people communicate.

Review is based solely on breakfast. Absolutely would not recommend. For starters, I should not have to get up repeatedly to ask for service. There was zero excuse for the lack of professionalism in this establishment. As for the food, it's ridiculous they are charging $25+ for an extremely mediocre plate. If you're going to charge that much, l expect a decent meal at the very least.

We loved the service and ambiance of Toro. The brunch beverage options were great. The quality of food was questionable at best. We all ordered the steak and eggs medium rare and had 3 vastly different plates of food. Freddy was a gem and made the experience, the value was there but don’t go expecting a phenomenal food experience. Actively avoid ordering the churros, they came cold, stale, hard and chewy.

I really wanted to love this spot. It was at the bottom of our hotel we were staying at for our 20th anniversary weekend. They were reserving the tables for lunch guests and refused to seat us for breakfast at 10am 2 mornings in a row, even though the breakfast was Included in our stay and there were a ton of empty tables. Another time we went for happy hour and waited 20 min before being waited on initially. Service was horrendous. They pick and choose when they will close their bar in the evening. It’s truly like they didn’t want business and never apologized for the inconsistency in their schedule. Or the rudeness of their staff. No apology, no accommodation.. just rude. The drinks were just ok. Guac and ceviche were delightful. But not worth dealing with their Gen Z staff. Being affiliated with the Fairmont, they should treat the patrons a little better. I would never eat here again unless the completely changed management. Truly a shame. Chicago has a lot of amazing places, this just isn’t one.

Awful St Patrick’s day experience for a brunch they had advertised on their website. It said there would be a dj at 1pm and there was no dj. Reservation was at 1pm and we did not get greeted by a server until 1:30p after asking multiple times. Food did not come out until 3pm. Half of the restaurant looked empty so I’m not sure why there was such a delay. For a st Patrick’s day experience they were advertising on their website they should’ve been prepared. Will not be coming back here.

Understaffed, long waits, cold food. Used only 1 of 3 breakfast credits from Fairmont. The experience was so disappointing, we didn't return again.
The restaurant is using half the space (clearly understaffed) causing long waits for a table and for food. 30 minutes to get a table, 30 minutes for cold food to come out. Service is terrible. Had to ask twice for coffee, cream and sugar. Cutlery was not placed on the table (even when the cold food arrived). Had to get up to ask for that as well.
Even for free, Toro is not worth the waste of time for a bad experience.

Great atmosphere! It was definitely busy during st Patrick’s but our server Angie was fantastic, she was communicative and kept the drinks flowing in the meantime. We also talked to the GM, Gerardo at the end. Definitely would be back
