They could improve the cleanliness of the premises and the way they handle food (candy) before placing it on the counter or handing it to the customer. "Drifting" employees and lack of manager. Excellent location.

Tray has a terrible attitude! Like horrible! I was waiting to be serviced while both employees were busy with work. The other employee asked him to take care of me and he got an attitude, rolled his eyes, huffed, threw down what he was doing, talked to me with an attitude, slammed my cup for coffee down and with an attitude said "The coffee is self serve over there!" The other employees were very pleasant.

The employee spilled the soup over the table and soiled his pants, jacket and white sneakers. The employees and the manager took up the case - after waiting half an hour and asking three times. Despite promising to get in touch, no response. Contacted customer service via web form and email, no response. Shoes are ruined and we are stuck with the costs. Never again!

I ordered a strawberry lemonade and a blueberry muffin. First of all, the cashier didn't say hi, literally said nothing during ordering(totally ignored me). I was waiting about 5 minutes a side to pick up my muffin. Even though, there were 3 people working in the ordering booth, no one ACTUALLY was working. They all stayed in the air. I needed to ask again to get my muffin and it was all soggy and tasted awful.

Okay experience with the pancakes and lemonade. Staffing a bit reduced maybe, 10 minutes in line while 2 of 3 check outs were closed.

Worst staff ever. They have no enough staff but still keep taking the orders. Staff is mot at all responsible. This was during no rush hours towards there closing. I kept waiting for half an hour. My order was already served cold and i had to follow up many times. These cafes take things granted may be they started getting lots of orders. Don’t go on there cheap menu because food quality, taste and service is worst. Choose any other cafe but not this one.

The guy at the cashier was angry with smth. Then brewed coffee was all old and when I put milk it turned into white bits. We left without waiting for cappuccino cause the place seemed to be quite bad….

We were walking back to our hotel from the Chicago Riverwalk and had a craving for coffee & pastry as the weather was chilly this evening. We came across Corner Bakery Cafe, which is a few doors down our hotel on E Wacker Dr., we walked in before they closed at 7PM.
We ordered a regular coffee and a hot latte with a Confetti and a Pumpkin Baby Bundt cakes. Perfect to satisfy our craving!
Shout out to the cashier 'Trey', who was extremely attentive regardless of how busy it was right before closing time.
The lobby has plenty of seating area, perfect for study or working sessions.
Overall, we had a great experience at this location and will definitely return.

Whenever I visit Chicago, I always stop by this place. Before it used to be really good. However, yesterday, I don’t know if something was wrong with the employees over there, but if I could rate the customer service, I put them -0. Waited on the line for 10 minutes, employees were just walking past by us. No hi no welcome and not even smile.
Finally got our food ordered and got it to our table,
I said “ i will change the table if you dont mind”, employee said “ ma’am i’ll just set everything here you do whatever you want” in such a rude tone. I was thinking to myself “ did I say something wrong to him?”. No apparently that’s how he reacted to every customers.
Note for the manager, if you want more customers to visit and feel welcomed in your bakery, hire better employees.

Food and service was ok but the place (tables) were a bit dirty. Overall ok place to grab breakfast with some room for improvement.
