I feel bad giving this place a one. The employees are so nice. But the place looks like a dump and wasn't clean at ALL. They were out of a lot of food items. The women's bathroom was out of toilet paper, paper towels and soap. We let them know and they couldn't replenish the paper towels and put in a small store brand pump soap for us to wash our hands. They didn't even have napkins. Corner Bakery? Management? Don't know but won't be going back. Couldn't believe it was a Corner Bakery?

Pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon were delicious. Short wait time to order and quick food arrival. Wrong food came out, but the error was rectified in about 2 minutes. Very good place. Outdoor dining was enjoyable.

Great spot to grab a bite when we are visiting Chicago. The gentleman cleaning tables was amazing in his attentiveness to the guests dining in! The menu is reasonably priced, consistently good, and the outdoor patio is a great place to have some coffee. The service was a lot better than the Starbucks across the street :)
Actually a very solid breakfast. Was actually in the area to eat across the street, but with an hour wait we walked over here, ordered right away, and got a delicious meal very quickly. Probably more basic than the other place but we left very happy and full.

Urban legend. Every city has stories of people saying...oh wow! You are NOT going to believe what I saw!!!! Cause some people are completely delusional of how they can use there children to express their rage yet they are 'not breaking the law'. So yes. I saw the group of mid thirties white woman in fancy clothes having their elementary school daughters drag their dolls around by their necks with ropes walking down the sidewalk in front of your shop and the emergency room next door. I saw a similar event yesterday and I wonder when those moms are also going to realize how much everyone doesn't like you. Who else saw that? What point could they possibly be trying to make other than they are child abusing stalkers?

My family and I were in town for a graduation, and we had a quick breakfast here one morning. The food was quick and good, and a great option for an affordable meal in an expensive part of town.What was really great about this location was the staff. Specifically Monique and Will. Monique was so sweet talking to my mom, and so friendly and helpful taking our orders. It was my birthday as well as my sister’s, and she gave us a little chocolate Bundt cake (which was so good). That was so nice of her. And Will brought our food out and cleared our dishes, while also providing recommendations in the area and just being generally personable. Their service really made the visit great.

We haven’t been to a Corner Bakery in Chicago in many years. However, since our Hampton Inn nearby wasn’t serving breakfast due to Covid restrictions we were left to find breakfast on our own. Fortunately it was only a block away. Breakfast was very good and service was friendly. It’s as I remember-bright and airy. Frankly it was a much better breakfast than what the hotel usually serves. The pancakes were fluffy as were the scrambled eggs and bacon cooked just right. My wife’s healthy cereal bowl was tasty and filling. The only downside was they had run out of the hazelnut coffee at the time but the other was fine.
