Family friendly restaurant with a great patio and good selection of food, wine and drinks.
Crosby's is in the heart of the Southport corridor and is always packed so I'd recommend a reservation. But you can bring your dogs on the patio and it's always filled with kids which is nice.
We started with the deviled eggs (5/5) which were unreal, then split crab cakes (5/5) and the spaetzle Mac and cheese (5/5) was one of the best we've had. Pair that with their old fashioned for a great meal.
Will be back soon to try their turkey burger which looks really good.

And wow, The cleanliness of the kitchen that we’re watching as they shut down from the evening is outstanding !
I’ve never seen the cleaning process so thorough of the bar in the kitchen!

As a regular to all the Southport hotspots, I've watched Crosby's evolve into a neighborhood gem. It's the kind of place you walk into and everyone smiles and helps you. The staff is friendly and always happy to accommodate any requests. I've never had a bad meal...it's all good. And if you sit at the bar hopefully Alex is serving. Great guy who goes out of his way.

Went here for dinner after a Cubs game. Easy 10 minute walk from Wrigley Field. Great atmosphere. They have plenty of outside seating. We sat inside and they had the windows open with a great breeze coming through. Wife and I shared The Brussel Sprout salad for an appetizer. I had the blackened mahi mahi fish sandwich. Excellent. My wife had the chicken. Also outstanding. Would go back again next time in Chicago. Service was outstanding as well.
Chris N is an amazing waiter. The attention to Detail 👌.
The food was great too. Definitely order the blueberry corn bread, it was a hit. The potato and bacon croquettes was also very good.
I was not a fan of the hash browns, I prefer regular old shredded hashbrowns.
Nice place We just stopped to have a drink. I think I will go back k and try some food. Service was pretty slow and we only had drinks

Nice food. Nicer staff!
Crosby's Kitchen is a solid pick for brunch or dinner in Lakeview. The rotisserie chicken is juicy and flavorful, and the Wrightwood Salad is packed with fresh ingredients, definitely a standout. I also tried the Lobster Deviled Eggs and the Spaetzle Mac & Cheese; both were rich and comforting. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I spent around $40, which felt like a good value for the quality and portion sizes. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is that the wait can be a bit long during peak hours, but it’s worth it.
We went for brunch on Saturday early afternoon. There is a cocktail menu along with some specials; but we opted for coffee, water, and a bloody mary.
We started with some monkey bread and blueberry cornbread. We ordered avocado toast, eggs benedict and biscuits & sausage gravy.
Don't forget to add hashbrowns if not included with your entree - they are fantastic!!!
Monkey Bread - similar to bread yeast rolls with carmel on the bottom and some butter on top. Nothing too special.
Blueberry cornbread - this was way better than expected. Flaky, full of blueberries, not too sweet, but so tasty. MUST-ORDER ITEM!
Eggs Benedict - two halves with full poached eggs on bacon with hollandaise sauce. Hashbrowns comes with. These were super tasty and great! I would choose these again.
I tried some of the Biscuits & Sausage Gravy. The biscuit was very dense and dry to me, but the sauage gravy was excellent.
Avocado Toast - they use a brioche-type bread, which is excellent and avocado mixed with spices gives it a little kick. It comes with a side salad that looked wonderful, but I didn't try it.
The restaurants has tables and booths. Although the chairs are wooden and hard if you are in place for over an hour. There is also a bar area.
As for holding a conversation, it wasn't too loud during the afternoon. It was getting quite busy, but we still had no trouble talking amongst our group.
Our service started off great. Discussing the menu options and famous dishes, etc. We were served water which is served from a bottle brought over from the bar area. However, we never received a refill on water and ended up grabbing it ourself from the bar. In fact, even our last round of drinks and refills were never brought to us. We asked and had to remind our server.
Entrees were around the $17-22 range. I would visit again.
Great place we stumbled on after the Cubs game. They accommodated a very large group. Drinks and food were delicious. Wonderful atmosphere.
I enjoyed a wonderful salad while sitting in the beautiful sidewalk cafe. My waitress and bus staff delivered great service.
