We came all the way from Naperville to eat here, and it was absolutely worth it. The burek and its varieties are incredibly fresh, and the owners are very kind. The taste of the burek was just like my grandmother’s, it almost made me cry. I haven’t had burek this good in a very long time. We also had the cevapi, and it tasted just like the ones I had at Mostar. No matter how far you are, you should definitely stop by this place.
We are on holidays here in Chicago from Australia and I searched up Balkan restaurants as I knew there is a big former Yugoslav community here. I am Bosnian myself so I thought we’d come here for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious and exactly like back in Sarajevo, Bosnia. It is a family run restaurant serving up the best Balkan dishes. The cevapi, pljeskavica and raznici were excellent, as was the chicken Soup. Thank you so much. Sve naj bolje vam zelim, I hvala vam opet!
Amazing authentic Burek or Pite me mish. The best I’ve had since being back in America. Must pair it with the ayran to get the full experience! This place is absolutely wonderful and the owners are great. A husband, wife, and son own/operate the place and you can feel the love and authenticity in the food that you won’t get from other places. Very welcoming and traditional. The taste of the burek really brought me back to Gjakova and made me feel at home. I can’t wait to...
