This wasn't our first trip to Daisies but definitely not as good as our previous visit. Food was good but not exceptional and waitperson was extremely indifferent to our table. The rest of the staff brining out food and filling water were kind, attentive and helpful but I felt like we were bothering our waitperson. Almost never spoke to use after we ordered, and just dropped the dessert menu on the table without saying a single word and they breezed by to attend to another...
Fabulous from top to bottom. Outstanding food and outstanding bakery. Excellent wine and beverage choices, phenomenal service and such a lovely and warm atmosphere. There is a reason it keeps getting recognition.
In the past several weeks I've been at Daisies for three different meals -- dinner, lunch, and brunch. Each time felt unique, and each time was super special. The food at Daisies is unbeatable, spectacular, and yet the ambiance and service feels so generous and humble. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago.
