We came in on a Saturday afternoon. There was no line. We ordered 4 slices: cheese, veggie, supreme, and pepperoni, a cup of their chicken tortellini soup, a cannoli, and a custard filled pastry. The chicken tortellini soup was amazing. It tasted like some homemade chicken noodle soup. The supreme pizza was very flavorful. I appreciated that it had the right amount of sausage. The veggie pizza was delicious, it was nice and crispy and the veggies were not soggy. The cheese pizza was good too. While we waited for our pizza to be warmed we noticed the line was long. By the time we finished our food in their outside patio, the line was out the door. I would definitely come back to try the chicken parm.

It was Monday and JP grazianos was closed so I thought why not check out an Italian deli that's open today. Was impressed with the cookie, sweets display. Ultimately just went with an Italian sandwich. The meats complement each other well. The sandwich tasted scrumptious. Gotta come back at some point and get some cookies and coffee.

The food is good and will return. I wouldn't go out of my way, but will support it nonetheless. What I find amusing, is the split personality of the owner in what you see on her Instagram/Tiktok and in real life. Not the same. One appears happy, the other appears to need a nap or career change.

Food is great just wish they didn’t treat Hispanic customers any less than light skinned customers !!!!

I love the idea of such a friendly neighborhood business. As all reviews have said, is a busy place with multiple lines. Right-side for ordering, left for waiting for your order, and an occasional middle if there's room for another ordering line. I ordered two hearty looking slices of their supreme pizza, meatball panini, and a vodka chicken parm (not pictured). Overall, the food was ok. The portions were huge and the value for the price is great especially in the city, but the flavors and textures were a bit bread heavy and somewhat soggy. Seasoning on the meatball sub was barely there and the bread was partly stale which surprised me as this is place is also a bakery. The peppers helped though. The chicken parm was pretty wet that the breading all fell off. The pizza had a ton of veggies on it and looked great, but barely any sausage on it. This was my first time here and will be back to try a ton more that looked great. Motes sandwiches and desserts! The value again was good, but I'd suggest if you order anything to make sure you get as many spices and peppers added. Maybe ask if they can go easy with the sauce.

Great sub sandwiches. Great service for a small bakery. Usually a line but it's worth it.

The place was busy! Good service, good food! The chicken parm sub was solid! Looking forward to coming back and trying more items!

We heard so much about D'amatos Bakery that when we finally made it to Chicago this weekend, we were excited to try it. The line was out the door, so we knew we were in the right spot. We got in after not too long of a wait to place our order. The bakery is filled with goodies. Pastries, cookies, focaccia, and pizza. It is exactly what I have come accustomed to when going into an Italian bakery. Smelled great and the walls covered with pictures, made the place feel family oriented. There were 5 of us so we decided to Order a few things to try. The kid at register did seem a bit overwhelmed and got a little confused. We ended up ordering a chicken parm sandwich (vodka sauce and regular), Italian sandwich, a meatball sandwich, 2 aranchini, and a tomato focaccia. The focaccia was very good, a little thick for my liking, but tasted great. The aranchini were also very good. I enjoyed the spinach and cheese one over the beef and cheese. Both were good. The chicken parm tasted unreal. The flavors were perfect. Only knock I can give was the bread was extremely soggy. I mean just soaking wet. The meatball sub was good, meatballs were huge and had nice flavor. My niece really enjoyed her vodka chicken parm and we noticed her bread wasn't as soggy. The Italian sub was also very good. They used good imported Italian meats which always makes a difference. Overall, the meal was good, bakery was nice. The staff could have been a bit friendlier, but it was busy so I will give them a pass. I just wish the bread on the chicken parm sandwich wasn't so wet and soggy. It took away from the great taste of the food.

Very tasty sandwiches and bread. This place is usually very busy but it's worth the wait. We visited twice so far and each time we were very satisfied. We will definitely be back.

We came here after seeing some posts on socials. Needed to try the chicken parm sandwich. We arrived at noon on Saturday, there was a line just outside the door. We stood in line and waited, there were so many people in line that you really couldn't get a good look at what was inside the cases. We did see a tomato foccacia that we wanted to try, plus stuffed arancini. When we got to the counter, the young man took our order, we paid and he walked away. He never came back, as we forgot to buy drinks. I asked another cashier when she was in between customers, she actually told me that I had to wait for the guy that took our order. Made no sense. She was pretty rude as well. Finally, I got another person to grab the drinks for us. We were still waiting on our sandwiches, foccacia, and the arancini. We ordered 3 chicken parm sandwiches, one with the vodka sauce, plus an Italian sub and a meatball sub. While they seemed to be getting single sandwich orders .out quickly, ours took a while. We finally got our order, and we're able to sit down at a table in the enclosed patio area. We were surprised at how soggy the chicken parm sandwiches were, the meatball sandwich wasn't as soggy. The flavor was 5 they weren't soggy. We sort of figured that the chicken parm ones were made and sitting there while the meatball sandwich was made. A few of us said that they liked the vodka sauce one better. The arancini were good, I liked the tomato sauce that they were covered in. I didn't taste It, but the others really like the taste of the meatball sandwich. One of us mentioned that the meatballs were a bit tough. The Italian sub was good, nothing special, quality meats. I wish we could have had the chance to order pastries, like sfogliatella or a lobster tail, but we felt so rushed in our ordering process.

Best spot for Italian cookies, fresh baked bread and THE BEST chicken park sandwich EVER! Get it with the vodka sauce IMO. So tasty, it's always a go to for us!
