D'Amato's Bakery Reviews
Such a lovely place!
This place is amazing!!! Thanks to Nickey (one of the most Chicago people I have ever met) for making sure I had 10 of the most delicious Arancini's I have ever eaten. The sourdough bread is legendary. We tried to go back last weekend but they were closed for some remodeling. No worries because we will be back EVERY time we are back in Chicago. next time, I will be trying MANY more items.
Damatos is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good.
Owner Victor and Rosanna very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Amazing sandwiches. Must come back. 10/10.

D'Amato's Bakery is a well-loved spot known for its delicious sandwiches and phenomenal bread. The chicken cutlet sandwich, chicken parm vodka sub, and cannolis are highly recommended. The staff is friendly, though some customers find them a bit overstimulated or rude, but they are helpful. The inside is small but charming, creating a cozy, old-school vibe that many enjoy. It’s a family-owned business that has built a strong reputation for quick service, even during busy lunch hours, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Customers often wait in line during peak times, but the excellent food and lively atmosphere make the wait worthwhile. Many people also enjoy taking home a few loaves of bread or special treats like tiramisu, cannolis, and lemon ricotta cookies. Eating the vodka chicken sandwich or other delicacies fresh is highly recommended, and leftovers are often appreciated the next day. Overall, D'Amato's Bakery remains a must-visit spot for great food and a warm, lively experience.
