For you folks who like specialty coffee / third wave coffee, Dayglow is a must-visit. They have a wide variety of different offerings on pour over (they call it “hand brew”), and they know how to treat these beans right, and serve coffee properly. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I would put this up against any café in Chicago for creativity and finesse.
This café actually reminds me of my favorite spot back home in Indy. The coffee is flavorful😋 So good that we ended up getting four coffees on both days we stopped by. We thought the bar where they prep everything has such a cool layout…simple, minimal, but super efficient.
I adore this place. One of the few that makes fantastic experimental coffee drinks and high quality espresso shots. I used to go on runs there and back and race myself back to my house. 😆 I will say a few of the drinks are too sweet for me, but mostly, they’re in the upper echelon of fancy Chicago coffee drinks.
