Good vibes, the bartenders care little. If you order a drink I suggest you move quick. I had my drink dumped; typical experience at a bar. Now usually, this would be absolved by an apology and simple resolution. Instead, the bartender defended that I was finished with my drink. On our way out, the very same bartender defended her position and accused our entire party of some judgmental impropriety, and the host even apologized for her attitude. I’m not the final judge, nor the conclusive decision on where you go tonight, but I will say that I was not treated pleasantly by the bar staff.

Chicago style Irish pub with great drink selection. Snuck in for a party and found a busy bar, with sports playing across the walls and my favorite ciders being served. Apparently they're super accommodating for parties, just give em a number and they'll make it work. And they coat their tenders in cornflakes, iykyk.

Awesome spot and highly recommend. Very dog friendly patio. The owner volunteers at the Chicago English Bulldog Rescue to help dogs in need. Safe to say mine will be back to have another Guinness.

Great location in a great neighborhood! Didn't have any food but it's one of the only places in Chicago I've found that serves Yuengling, so highly recommend for East Coasters visiting or looking for a nostalgic drink

Stopped into Declan’s for drinks and had a great time. The staff was super friendly and attentive without hovering. The vibe was relaxed but lively, and the drinks were solid—well-made without being overpriced. It just felt like a place that knows what it is and runs smoothly. Definitely planning to go back.

Wouldn’t go if you have a mobility disability, they’ll assume you’re drunk and won’t let you leave

We stopped here on our way to dinner for a quick drink. It was pretty packed and there really is not a lot of seating in the bar area. They have another up stair section for eating. The drinks were over priced but that is expected in Chicago. We had one and quickly moved on.

I visited this pub once before and really enjoyed it, so I was excited to return. However, I was surprised to find the door locked well before the posted closing time; 9:30 pm to be precise. When I asked, I was told that last call had already been made and the kitchen was closed. While I understand that business can fluctuate, it’s frustrating when customers can’t rely on the advertised hours.
What made it even more confusing was that there were still a few patrons inside. When I inquired about their actual closing time on a Sunday night for future reference, I was given a vague response—apparently, it depends on the crowd. So, does that mean if it’s slow at 5 pm, I shouldn’t even bother coming? That doesn’t make sense. If staying open past 9:30 pm isn’t profitable, then just adjust the posted hours accordingly. But don’t waste customers’ time by having them show up, only to be turned away well before closing.
A little consistency would go a long way.

We stopped by during the Notre Dame football game, and despite the bar being busy, we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were served. The drink prices were the best we encountered during our 4-day stay in Chicago. The food was also solid—classic pub fare, done well. Overall, a great spot to enjoy the game and grab a drink without breaking the bank.

Sunday fun day. Had a glizzy and a Two hearted, staff was weird about water pitchers for a big group. Messed up friends order but made it right quickly and comped a drink. Would recommend for a pub.
