The staff/people are very kind. The food is awesome. Go for the mixed plate or the tandoori plate, the mango lasso will give you a happy belly.

I had a nice time here. The service is quite exceptional and they’re all extremely friendly. I really like this older gentleman who provides water in the beginning and helps to clean tables; he’s not fluent in English but definitely tries and is immensely kind.

Their naan is on the chewier side which I like; it is slightly oily which I didn’t mind. Their ā€œrollsā€ are like burritos (huge!) and very tasty— would recommend! I also had their chicken masala which comes as shredded chicken, which was new and interesting, I liked it! Their main dishes do not come with rice so you do have to buy it as extra.

The restaurant really stands out for its service and I’d definitely come back.

I’ve been going to Delhi Darbar for years and always wondered why so many Desi families recommended it. We genuinely love their food, and the cashier — who has been working there for almost 15 years — always talks very sweetly and pretends to be extra helpful. But behind that friendly smile is a deceptive practice that customers MUST be aware of.

Here’s what happened:

The cashier goes over your bill in a very casual, talkative way, almost as if he’s helping you understand your order. What he doesn’t mention is that he quietly adds a tip to the bill, hidden all the way at the bottom of the computer screen where no normal customer would see it.

Then, when you insert your credit card, a second tip screen pops up, and he politely encourages you to ā€œadd whatever you feel like,ā€ hoping you won’t realize you’ve already been charged one tip. When I told him, ā€œYou already added the tip,ā€ he immediately acted innocent and clueless.

This is not an accident — it’s a pattern and a very deceptive way of taking advantage of loyal customers.

The owner urgently needs to fix this dishonest practice. Tip should be asked only once, and the automatically added tip on the screen needs to be removed completely. Customers deserve transparency, not tricks.

I strongly urge everyone: check your receipt carefully before paying. Don’t fall for the sweet talk or friendly act. Food may be good, but dishonest billing is unacceptable.

We have been regular customers of this restaurant for a long time, often ordering directly through their app. Unfortunately, the service has become unacceptable.

Previously, we were promised complimentary sabji and roti after being overcharged by the manager (ā€œUncleā€). This is not the first time—he has a pattern of charging extra, especially when it’s the last item or when dealing with larger groups. To avoid any confusion, we even called ahead to confirm our order this time.

After waiting over 40 minutes, our order arrived incomplete—missing the very items that had already been paid for. When I called the restaurant to get this resolved, the manager was rude and dismissive. I requested to speak with the owner, Ashit Bhai, and was told he ā€œwas not at the store.ā€ This turned out to be false information.

This is not just bad service—it is repeated, deliberate behavior. At this point, I will be taking legal action and filing a complaint with the Consumer Protection Department.

As a loyal customer, I should not have to deal with dishonesty, missing items, and disrespect. This restaurant has completely lost my trust.

This place has delicious food and the service was excellent! Our group of four found this to be some of the best Indian food we had ever had! We loved the naan, tandoori chicken, lentil dish, chickpeas, and the beef dish we had, which was all made fresh when we ordered it. They lowered the spice level just a bit for us and it was perfect! I wish I had taken pictures of our food, but I didn’t think of it in time. I don’t think you could go wrong here with whatever you ordered, and make sure to order some chai after dinner! Yum!
