What an awesome shop! Stopped in for the first time and purchased a few different fresh items, packaged salads and desserts, all have been absolutely delicious!!! I highly recommended this Chicago gem ??

I thought the prices were a bit high but once I got home and tasted the fish, I realized it was completely worth it. The fish was so much better than anything from a grocery store!

I came in to buy mussels and I was excited once I got them since they’re only 6 dollars a pound. But once I got home to clean them ALL of the mussels but 2 baby ones were dead. More than half of the floated to the top or were open & wouldn’t close after tapping them. The staff was super friendly and service was great but I would stick to the fish or other items in the store. Maybe I’ll try again when they get fresh shipments but I was very sad once I got home to make no dinner.

Great place to buy fish but also to get sushi! The sushi is fresh and at such a great price. The menu isn't overly extensive and the in-dining atmosphere is what you would expect for a store but it's a hidden gem at how good the food is.The staff are nice and helpful.
Great service, product and selection. The lobster roll is amazing but the tuna salad is the star of the show. I also highly recommend the New England clam chowder.

Dirk's has wild caught fish, as well as a range of specialty cheese dips and seafood salads. Plus a really nice selection of fancy crackers. My favorite thing though, is how great the guys behind the counter are. They're super into it, and you can tell they love what they do. Friendly, Chicago custermer service, at it's best. GET IN THERE. This is the place.
