Kapitan is a hidden gem! Food was so flavorful and amazing! The tomato rice platter was delicious and the duck buns were fantastic! Their menu is large and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The stand out items were the Lobak and Nyonya Curry Laksa Lemak. We asked for recommendations, which was the right move because everything was spot on and it was going to be hard to decide what to order! Would definitely recommend this place. We loved the kaya toast with soft boiled egg so much that we ordered a second round. The last time we had kaya jam was when we visited SG back in 2015! Seems to be the only place you could get it in chicago. We also bought kaya jam to take home! Very good service and we will be back to try other dishes. The server was very nice and attentive.
