Doc B's absolutely hit the spot on a brutally cold Chicago day. Walking in from the freezing wind, the matzah ball soup felt like a warm hug in a bowl. Rich, comforting broth with a perfectly fluffy matzah ball, exactly what you want when the city is locked in deep winter. And then there were the chicken wings. Wow. We have lived a few blocks away for 6 years and finally pulled the trigger last night for dinner. The reviews looked like it would be a good fit and they were right. Laid back, fairly quiet, smooth operation, no wait, good and friendly service, good food, prompt bar service. It is not a cheap eat but we live in this area so we're used to paying up for a good meal. I thought the value was reasonable for the food and experience. We will be back.
We have been coming to Doc B's for a long time. Service wasn't the best. Kept having to remind our waiter.. drinks, condiments etc. but food and drinks are always delicious.
