I really want to love this coffee shop because the coffee itself is great, the atmosphere is beautiful, and it’s such a nice place to sit and relax. Unfortunately, the inconsistency and service issues have made it hard to keep coming back.
All I ever ask for is a coffee with steamed half and half. I’ve noticed they upcharge for it because it’s steamed, which I understand may be their policy — but I’ve never been charged extra for this at any other coffee shop. It feels frustrating to pay more for something that’s typically considered a simple customization elsewhere.
On another visit, I was given attitude just for asking that something not be added to my coffee. Everyone has different preferences when it comes to how they like their drink, and requests like that shouldn’t feel like an inconvenience. It was disappointing because it made me feel uncomfortable for simply ordering my coffee the way I enjoy it.
It’s upsetting because the shop itself is beautiful and the coffee tastes great. However, the inconsistency and lack of respect for customer preferences are discouraging. I truly hope they can improve the service experience to match the quality of their coffee and space.

I bopped in on my way somewhere else got the spinach and artichoke croissant on a whim (along with some coffee, of course). One of the best croissants I’ve ever had!!!

I stopped at the Doppio Coffee House in Chicago, I absolutely loved it! I ordered the salmon open-face sandwich and it was incredible; fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
The atmosphere is so cozy, perfect for relaxing with great food and coffee. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, you can tell they truly love what they do and care about their guests. Their warm energy made the experience feel personal and memorable.
I also tried their energy balls, and they were delicious, the perfect treat with my coffee.
Highly recommend if you’re in the area! I’ll definitely be back.
Everything here is delicious, and the quality is unmatched. Doppio is my favorite morning treat!
My only suggestion would be to use smaller boxes for the open faced sandwiches and other smaller items. The current boxes are too large and awkward to carry, especially when I'm on the go in the morning.

I wish they had another location further north! Great selection of sweet and savory items and great selection of classic coffee drinks and seasonal specials. It's always a treat when I can meet a friend here!

Definitely catches your eye with its outside charm when you walk by.
Has a little bit of an Amsterdam coffeehouse feel. The latte was tasty & they delivered it to your table (although you ordered at the counter, which was a nice touch).
Only critique is that everything is a bit expensive! $4-5 for a single donut is a little ludicrous, am I right? They cost less than $0.65 to make one….there also were no prices on all the pastries, por que? This is 2025. All in all, I would definitely recommend & will come again.

If you’re a coffee lover, the coffee here is solid. Unfortunately, the service and atmosphere were the opposite. I’m visiting from the West Coast and love reviewing coffee shops for an international audience but this experience stood out for the wrong reasons. My family and I did not feel welcomed. One barista, in particular, made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. In a city known for its diversity, it’s disappointing to encounter that kind of energy in 2025. Respect and kindness shouldn’t be optional.
To the staff: people walk in hoping for warmth, not hostility. Treat visitors with the same hospitality you’d want for yourself. Coffee may bring people in but how you treat them is what they’ll remember.
Do better. Be better.
