I have been frequenting Dublins since I was a young salesman for Xerox in the city.... roughly 2002. The best food, service, crowd, etc... you'll never find a better kitchen in Chicago after 1am. It's a local secret. I feel bad for even telling the Internet about this gem.

Firstly, I had planned to order the lamb shank, but unfortunately, it was unavailable. I then inquired about the stew, and the server suggested the beef and cabbage. Regrettably, the dish was poorly prepared; it was rubbery and nearly impossible to cut.
When I raised my concerns, the manager, Mo, approached me with a rather aggressive demeanor. Despite my polite inquiry about my options, he insisted that I had to eat the undercooked beef. He can’t help. In any other Chicago restaurant, they would have replace the food or Cook it more.
I believe a change in management may be necessary to improve customer service Mo is not fit for his role

When I say this place is better than many STEAK HOUSES that is what I mean!!! The oyster Rockefeller are PERFECT!!!!!!! Again better than you many restaurants!!! The spinach dip is perfect!!!!!! The strip steak is cooked perfectly!!!!! The lamb kabobs are to die for!!!!!!!! I always order a side of grilled shrimp with my meals and they never disappoint!!!!! The chicken and pasta..:. Why didn’t I find out about this years ago!!!!!!!!! It’s to the point that I live in the south suburbs and will drive downtown to eat dublins any time! Not only do I sit and dine in but I take a carry out order too so I can have lunch the next day!!!!!!!!!! Yes they have been cracking down on gym shoes but I’m glad. I never have to wait more than 5 minutes for a table! The waiters and waitresses are not rude. They are just dealing with a much of after work hours drunks! They know their jobs and do it well!!!!!!!

If I could give zero stars I would! Was in for lunch and beer with my wife. Waitress was slow and after 10 minutes and several trips to check other tables we left. We were just waiting for two beers and to order some food. Instead of wasting our money there we went to Gibson’s instead. Not sure if waitress was drunk or didn’t want to make money. Either way, I will never be back and suggest Gibson’s instead.

My credit card was overcharged here On September 13, 2024 and they are not trying to refund me my money back! I get a notification that Dublins Bar and Grill charged me $80.66. I immediately called my bank and called Dublins. The Manager Broke was very rude on the phone and kept trying to give me the run around on how they can’t give me money back if I ordered a new card so I said I would come in and get it in cash. She says I won’t be able to get it in cash that’s not how things work. How are you gonna say that’s not how things work when you all just stole money out of my account??? She hung up in my face. They clearly been doing this for some time now because she wasn’t shocked all. I am so upset and disappointed. I have filled a police report. Their waiters and staff are full of thieves!

The music is so loud. Absurdly loud. You cannot hear anything. You lose your voice from yelling.
Food and beer are fine. Excessive music volume makes it unbearable.
The food was actually pretty good but their Monday special was a lobster bisque that just tasted like tomato soup. The waitress didn’t come by a lot but she also seemed to be the ONLY waitress working so I don’t blame her at all. She was running around between just about every table inside and outside. Ribeye sandwich and the chicken sandwich were both good. Outdoor patio and in a perfect location so all around very good.

The food is very good, but the beers are super hot, both from the bottle and from the dispenser, and the service and atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. We went with a friend who invited us, because it is or was one of her favorite restaurants in the city. But that day precisely we felt a little intimidated by the attitude of a man who, by the way, they tell us is the brother of the owner, he was very rude and we really felt intimidated by his attitude towards us when asking for a table outside and especially girls who were at another table who, in fact, had to pack their order and leave by practically kicking one of them out for eating food that came in, it is understood that you cannot consume food brought from outside but it was not the way to eat. communicate and treat the girl by telling her that if she did not take the food out of the establishment immediately, she would have to throw it in the trash. The girl, intimidated and embarrassed, just packed her food again and left. Her friends, as she had already ordered, had to wait. having food brought to them, asking for toppers to pack and leaving, it was very unpleasant to witness the way I treated them.

If I cn give no star for food n atmosphere I would I should of turned bk around when we walked in n it smelled like a basement that's been flooded then had to fight off flies all before we sat down. Ordered my usual rockefeller oysters which I usually order two rounds but not this time just nasty over poured bread crumbs all over. And oysters looked dark n old. The fried Buffalo calamari taste like it ws cooked in yesterday's grease couldn't finish it either. Then ordered the catch of the day which cm with blacken talipia, garlic mashed potatoes n spinach. Spinach was so bland and not done blackened talipa which cm to the table looking good asl but not one sprinkle of seasoning or salt so basically today we paid $110 for as my guy would say sm diabetic n hospital food lol I can't make this up only thing ws good ws the garlic mashed potatoes so disappointed because I really use to like this place I will not be back it ws good while it lasted on to the next oh but loved the waitress she always serve me n mk me feel welcome
