I used to visit the Dulce De Leche Cafe in Albany Park but today I was on my way to visit an occult supply store and found this 2nd location here directly under the Bryn Mawr red line!

I was elated! I was welcomed in with my service dog and enjoyed some downtime this afternoon chatting with Josh the owner and having iced latte drinks. I wasn't in the mood for food because I already had a huge breakfast this morning so I had an iced dulce de Leche and then an iced horchata..latte 🧊 and enjoyed some very food vibes when other fun customers arrived.

This cafe is a cute and cheerful spot to grab a tasty latte especially if you have a long train ride ahead of you.

Cannot recommend it enough.

Horchata Latte: The espresso was perfectly extracted and the horchata was not too sweet.

Chilaquiles: Pic says it all. Carnitas were very nicely made.

Dulce de Leche Cafe is a small gem in the Edgewater community. It’s a very small space with little seating room, but the food, drinks and service are all top notch. Very friendly staff that are always pleasant. It can take a little time to receive your order, but it is worth the wait.

Every time I come here within the updated hours online it’s closed.

Great coffee spot with amazing breakfast dishes! ☕🍳 Loved the big ceramic mugs for in-store dining. I was the first customer, but the store opened a little later than the Google timing, and the food took a bit to come out. Still, everything tasted great and delicious. I’d just suggest updating the Google hours if they open at a different time. 👍

I love Dulce de leche Cafe! We were visiting Chicago for a friend’s wedding and staying around the corner. Our first morning, we wandered into this spot for breakfast and were blown away! Their food is DELICIOUS (try the chilaquiles with homemade hot sauce!) and the coffee drinks too. Plus Josue who runs the shop is an absolute angel and so fun to talk to. In five days, we visited three times lol. I’ll definitely be back next time I come to visit!

Cute small place. Food was good but it took almost an hour for the order to be ready. Plus some items were not cooked properly.
