We had a short break in Chicago, coming from Ireland! We had breakfast here 3 times during our stay, and not once did it disappoint. The food was gorgeous, service was quick, even on a Sunday!

Numerous tables free and staff free yet a 30 minute queue at the door...pointless! and service equally slow. That said the food was really good.

Egg Harbor Café has plenty of seating and a really nice outdoor patio area. I ordered a skillet, and it was packed with great flavor — definitely hit the spot. I also tried the strawberry orange juice, which didn’t taste too much like strawberry but was still refreshing. Our food came out fast, and the whole experience was smooth and easy. A great spot for a relaxed breakfast or brunch.

Very good place for breakfast: big and roomie. All classic choices for breakfast and descent size portion. They drip coffee is very good and they leave a pitcher on table for you. We got and ultimate skillet and it was very delicious. This place is walking distance from Michigan ave and Trump tower.

Christian P was our server and he was great. Really friendly, polite and didn’t rush us. He was attentive, checking in with us regularly and other staff (including Debbie) were also polite and brought our food in a timely manner.
Two of us had eggs Benedict for breakfast with a latte, chai latte and a mimosa. Great start to the day in Chicago.

Broad variety of delicious food, affordable prices. Sometimes long lines to the table - take it into consideration (especially when you are hungry 😉)

They offer a complete gluten-free menu, which is rare find ans such a relief for anyone with dietary restrictions. I tried the gluten-free pancakes and cinnamon roll ~ both delicious.
The place was busy when we arrived, which os always a good sign, but we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly our food was served. Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere.

We've been here i think 4 time in the past two years. They are always consistently good. Everything tastes fresh and always seasoned well. Today (10/11/25) my son went there again, i got the Gregg's chili and eggs and it was sooooooooo good. It's one of those dishes that make you want to stick with it but then make you want to try new items because FOMO 🤣. If its a busy weekend in Chicago make sure you get on the wait list. We were there during the Chicago Marathon weekend and so glad I got on the wait list while still on the train. It was a good 50 minute wait but we got there just in time for our table. Staff is kind, options are plentiful and food is great.
