Excellent food and vibe. Server was very helpful. Would recommend taking a reservation beforehand if you can. All plates are sharable so order around 2 per person.

Absolutely delicious food... kind and attentive wait staff and solid cocktails. We celebrated a friend's birthday here and we had a great time. Excellent options for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free diets. Very conscientious about our friends GF needs.

The girl at the door was not very welcoming. She directed us elsewhere without even asking a question. Funny thing, I'm giving her this point for that.
The dishes were beautifully presented, but unfortunately the flavors didn’t match the appearance. The hummus had some unusual ingredients that made it bitter — almost like dried mint or over-toasted beans. I actually had to return the first hummus because it was completely inedible.
The Brussels sprouts served with the meat were also over-charred and lacked sauce. The flavor wasn’t terrible, but it definitely wasn’t balanced — especially in terms of salt.
I liked only chocolate dessert.
The service was good, very attentive manager.
Overall, the food looked much better than it tasted, and the execution just didn’t meet expectations.

We love the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine so went here for dinner on a week night based on the many positive reviews. Made reservations and when we got there we were seated reasonably quickly. The restaurant has very good ambience and decor. The staff were very friendly and efficient.
Took a look at the menu which was very interesting, a lot of mezze options which we love. Ordered a variety of hot and cold mezzes. They bring out the food in the order it is made so they came out separately but that was OK. All the dishes came with bread/pita.
While the ambiance and the service were good, the food itself didn’t taste particularly good. As a person that loves the flavorful hummus, falafels and other mezzes/dishes, and as someone that regularly goes to restaurants that serve excellent middle eastern food, I was left very disappointed overall. Admittedly, none of the restaurants that serve these dishes near me are as fancy or have this ambiance, but the food is incredible.
Ultimately, I left very disappointed, feeling Ema is mostly style over substance. The only reason I have given it 3 stars is because of the ambiance and service and maybe that’s reason enough to go there. However, if someone is looking for great tasting food, I would definitely not recommend this spot.

I found this place online as a recommended international spot, and my first visit was terrible. I walked in, greeted the host, and she barely acknowledged me with an unfriendly, arrogant look. I said I was dining alone, and she told me to find a seat at the front bar. The front bar was jam-packed, and I could not even squeeze in.
I went back to the host, and then she told me to try the back bar. I went there, and the bartender immediately said it was reservations only. It was 5:30 p.m., and they still refused to seat one person.
I asked for a manager, and he showed up with the same dismissive attitude. He did not apologize or show any concern. It was basically an “oh” reaction, like none of this mattered.
Rude staff, unprofessional service, and an overall terrible experience. I will not be returning.

Restaurant and ambiance was nice. The spreads were pricey but good. The problem is the entrees. They are just not prepared well. Small overcooked shrimps for the kebob dish and overall, price does not match quality of food. I'd skip it unless you go there for drinks and appetizers only. Ambar blows this place away, hands down.

Overall, food is little salty. Kebab was too dry. Server was good but not checking in frequently.
Sat at the bar for happy hour and Ema just always hits! The portions are generous, the staff is great and the food is great
We brought a small group back to Ema because of the great food, good vibe and sharing plates.
