My dad had been going to exchequer pub for about 35 years before he passed away. It was one of his favorite places downtown! My husband and I went there to pay homage to my dad and prior to the Chicago Symphony. It was an excellent experience and we will go again. My only complaint is that I had planned to order thin crust pizza just like my dad. After drinks and a great shared harvest salad course the waiter came to take our dinner order - he said the pizza would take at least...

I have seen Exchequer for years and tried it before a concert. The deep-dish pizza was spectacular and the cocktails were excellent. Our server, Niko, was very helpful, and all his recommendations were spot-on. I will definitely be adding Exchequer to my pre- and post-show options for concerts and shows in Chicago.

Best oniion rings EVER! Sandwiches were hard topick up and eat. I justcut mine up. Peppers and onionswere so tasty. AuJus was too salty. Beef was pressed and not authetnic. that was a disappointment. Waiter was great ! Food came quiclky. I want to t ry their pizza next time.
