Been meaning to try this place for a while now. Wanted my visit to coincide with their happy hour & be able to enjoy something from their sister location next door: 'Bird Bird' (which is only open Sat/ Sun.. so really had to plan).
Mentioned I was a first-timer interested in their Bbq Pork or Scallion Pancakes, mostly based on pictures from google reviews, BUT was here to score the happy hour. I'm not sure what was misunderstood but I ended up paying full price & basically could've visited at anytime (since nothing I orded was included in their happy hour 🙄).
The pork was a bit chewy & not as tender as I had imagined. The 'Dreamsicle' drink satiated my sweet tooth. Tried to use their 'Phoenix Fire' sauce but literally could barely shake a few drops on my rice (sat at the empty bar & no one cared to engage.. even after dramatically struggling with the bottle for a bit.) Lastly, had to remind someone that I ordered an Egg Tart 30 mins ago but seems they forgot.. it was decent but the poor service made it unappetizing.
It wasn't really a good first impression, especially for a solo diner at the empty bar who's never been before. I guess I can see the potential but there's much to be desired

My husband and I stopped into NoodleBird while visiting Logan Square, and we’re so glad we did. Everything we ate and drank was absolutely delicious. The Pork & Ginger Dumplings, Charcoal Chicken, and Ginger Lemon & Turmeric Soda were all standouts and definitely worth ordering. I also loved the thoughtful detail of the owner’s grandparents’ photos on the bathroom doors. It was such a sweet, personal touch. We’re already looking forward to eating here again the next time we’re in Chicago.

This is an amazing restaurant and I can't believe how much you get for your money. Between the handmade noodles and the delicious egg tarts you won't go home unhappy. Fantastic atmosphere and great staff.

Gluten free and allergy friendly menu! Dimmer lighting that set a vibe. Ordering off the toast app makes things easier and easy to split the check with friends, no pressure or need to wait for wait staff. Will be back!

Just because they changed their name doesn’t mean it isn’t the extract same restaurant as it was when it was black listed in 2020. It still fat rice, just with a new name! This place shouldn’t be supported at all!

I’ve only ever ordered delivery, but the good has been excellent every single time, and I’ve ordered maybe 10 times at this point. Everything on the menu I’ve tried so far from the charcoal chicken to the curry chicken hand pie to the desserts have been amazing. Bonus points for all the gluten free labeling and options they have which is great for my family that deals with allergies.

Fantastic spot. The dinner for two is such a good deal. The chicken was moist, salad crunchy, and egg custard tart not too sweet. So so good!

Been a while since I stopped by. I won't make that mistake again. We order a bunch of dishes to share - pork/ginger dumplings, shaved brussel sprout salad, grilled half chicken, tofu veg curry, steamed rice and chicken in banana leaf, a delicious skinny noodle dish who's name I can't recall, and a few glorious pastries from their newly opened bakery next door. Every dish delicious, full of flavor, and unique. Can't recommend the food enough. Expecially the peanut mochi from their former iteration which I've been dreaming about for a few years now - and its back. We ordered two!
It's semi self-serve. You order at counter, get your own silverware, and they bring out the food. Some people seem to have a problem with this, but it worked very well for us. Everyone very friendly and helpful. I'm glad this place has come along so well.

Noodle Bird was not warm nor welcoming at all. If you care about good service, this is not the place dine in. I was asked if I had been there before and I kindly said a few years back. He proceeded to share how ordering worked in an inconvenient manner. The menus where thrown making both the drink and food menus slide towards us....It was then he explained both menus in an unmotivated almost annoyed manner.
The food was OK. Nothing extraordinary. I will not be returning and do not recommend this spot. There are so many Chicago restaurants that are both delicious and have amazing service. Unfortunately, it falls short here.

Excellent food and atmosphere. The service is solid, but left a 4 out if 5 stars for that bc it's mostly self service and not a ton of human interaction. Their egg custard tarts are a wonderful treat. The Lu special is such a wonderful nostalgia hit, evoking hamburger helper in the best way with a curry forward flavor possible that is quite delicious. Spicy smoked chicken fried rice is very flavorful and the added touch of puffed rice provides nice textural pops. Their chili oil is a very nice compliment to their dumplings. Overall a great go to spot when looking for casual Asian fare with a twist.

live very close to this spot and everything i've tried has been flavorful and inspired. i mostly buy their pastries and sweets. as a sweets-lover, the higher price point fits the quality of food and care that you get in the bite. i especially love the ube sweet roll and the malasadas available.
however, the absence of the blueberry peach cheesecake pastry makes me sad and has contributed greatly to my seasonal depression. if you would please let me buy them off of you or otherwise let me know when i can devour them again, i'll sell any number of limbs. absolutely devastating it hasn't been on the menu because i swear it changed my life when i first ate it. thank you bird of noodle for your excellence
