You're only hurting yourself if you don't come. Actually, on second thought, don't come. I don't want it to be too busy when I'm here next

Staff has great vibes but it doesn’t even compare to the food. I can’t even fathom how I haven’t been here before. I shared 11 dishes and everything was spectacular. Can’t recommend enough.

I would do terrible things for their lo mai gai… one of my favorite spots in the city. Delivery or in person, sweet or savory, the food here always makes me feel better 💜 Noodlebird team, you’re the best!

We've lived in the neighborhood for years and finally decided to eat here. I had the house specialty which was a noodle dish with pork and shrimp--delicious. We had pork and ginger dumplings, which had good flavor, but the noodle couldn't hold the pork balls, so 7 out of 8 were breached dumplings. My wife had a soup dish with good presentation, though she said it tasted just okay. Our son had chicken noodle soup, which he enjoyed. The service was mostly self-service. You (the customer) get your own water, silverware, chop sticks, and napkins. You order with your phone, pre-pay, and pre-tip. There are cooks and there are staff who run fresh food out and bus dirty plates, but no true servers--yet you (the customer) are prompted to pre-tip. When we did ask for things, the staff brought them promptly, but there was a sense that we were inconveniencing them from whatever else they were busy doing. No bad attitudes or rudeness though--perhaps they are just accustomed to the customer self-service. The food was over-priced, though it wasn't bad food. We have had equally as good (and better) meals at better prices, with far superior service, at other places in the area. I do not think we will be back to Noodle Bird, and I'm pretty sure no one there cares.

This place is a hit or miss, char siu pork and rice noodles are good, but mapo tofu doesn’t have the right mapo tofu flavor I’m expecting, it’s definitely missing Szechuan peppercorns which is most important in this dish that makes it “ma”po tofu. and has too much oil in it, I couldn’t even fish out mined meat from the greasy starch and oil swamp
Pound for pound one of the best places in Chicago. Interesting and delicious while also being casual and reliable. Don't miss the bakery on weekends, too

THE BEST for both takeout and dining in. Amazing food, pastries (my heaven will be full of their egg tarts), drinks, and mocktails. A go to for cozy comfort food or a fun casual dinner with friends.

Decided to try out this place after hearing it from a client. I was delighted that they have a simple kiosk ordering system which made things quick and easy. Ordered the pork and ginger dumplings and the grilled chicken. The dumplings even though they were hot, they were still flavorful. The chicken paired with the coconut rice was well-cooked and very filling. I had the egg tart for dessert and it tasted okay, Overall still satisfied with the experience and food.

I really appreciate how clearly the vegan or vegetarian options are listed. They are able to make a few things vegan and a few things are already vegan. Their smoked tofu, although extra to add, is really good. Not bland and mushy like many omni places. They also have a happy hour 4-6 with a few vegan options! I got the chili peanut noodles with tofu and loved it. I also got the corn fritters to start, great just the dipping sauce isn’t vegan fyi.
Update October 2024
Just got some shrimp and garlic dumplings and egg tarts. Took it home. OMG
These two dishes are World Class!
Compliments to the chefs! It doesn’t get better.
Hey Noodlebirds. I'll be there in a few weeks. What's Good!
Fantastic Authentic Yummy!
I was visiting Chi and staying down the block when my friend told me about this place. But I think he only mentioned the donuts.
I had their menu headliner chicken dish which was nice and juicy and well spiced with some exotic aromas.
Also took out their frozen shrimp dumplings - amazing with big chuncks of nice shrimp inside. They picked some very nice shrimp of which I'd never heard so I looked it up and wow! The shrimp are from Oishii Sshrimp. Check it out and lemme tell you they make some tasty dumplings here.
Their dumplings are not the typical style with a thin wrapper. They are substantial here with a nice chew.
The shrimp - next time I'll try their peel and eat jumbo shrimp.
I also took out their pork dumplings and ate too many they were that good. Once again, something exotic in the taste.
The boss and all the staff I met there were warm and welcoming and you bet I'll be back.
PS They made me a very tasty version of Negroni while I was waiting. Nice.
Obviously I'm a big fan and if you look up my past reviews on Google Maps, you will see that I'm also a harsh critic so when I rave as I have about Noodlebird, you can bet it's worth it.
