I've been to about 10 tasting menus in Chicago and maybe another 5 while traveling in other cities, and this is now my favorite spot. Around 30 bites that come out rapid fire with a story and everything is good to incredible - how is this possible? Oh, and the menu is constantly changing. We went once at the beginning of November and then 4 weeks later, and the menu was completely different!

One thing that really jumps out is how much fun the staff seems to be having, and it is infectious. They tell stories about the food, wine, utensils, and farms. This could come off as pretentious elsewhere, but here it just feels like genuine excitement and pride in finding something of such quality. The wine pairing was incredibly well thought out too. These were some complex wines, and then there was the saki .. indescribable. My girlfriend and I didn't want to drink that much so they suggested that we just split a single pairing - so accomodating. There are also a few surprises that you won't get at any other tasting menu, but I don't want to spoil them.

I know that there were some negative critic reviews early on, but I can't imagine anyone having a bad experience now. Just go!

Such an incredible experience! It was fun, the team was relaxed yet knowledgeable, and each course was exciting. We enjoyed the entire experience and would highly recommend the wine pairing. Also the dishware was really cool.

Came with a high expectation but still left surprised. Although a few plates were unexciting, most are delightful and truly memorable — plus one of the best wine pairings in Chicago.

Feld was a delightful experience from the moment I arrived. The attention to detail was remarkable, from the restaurant's entrance to the intimate dining atmosphere. The staff worked seamlessly together, offering a clear view of everything happening behind the scenes. The seasonal menu was thoughtfully curated, with each dish accompanied by a story about its origin, such as the farm or region it came from. There were many delicious and unique bites, some of which became even better when paired with the wine. I look forward to returning in another season to explore a new menu. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Our party of four really enjoyed Feld. We were thoughtfully seated in a corner booth so we could both converse and observe the chefs. The food was delicious, mostly local, and each dish came with an interesting back story. The staff are all clearly knowledgable and super enthusiastic about the restaurant's concept. The pairings are generous pours of interesting wines. We're looking forward to trying Feld next season.

Went to Feld back in July and it was a totally unique dining experience. The staff is knowledgeable and walks you through the produce and techniques used to create each dish. The dishes themselves come out at a nice pace, and were delicious and different than tasting menus I’ve had in the past. By the end my partner and I were stuffed, but we were brought out back for a surprise extra course of s’mores by the fire with the head chef/owner Jake.

I highly recommend the wine pairing, it is far and away the best I’ve ever had and allowed me to try a number of unique wines and sakes (and got me quite tipsy so definitely worth the price tag). Overall dining at Feld made for a very special night and I’m excited to come back in another season to try new produce.

Food was amazing, staff was even more amazing! I would love to see some more imaginative plating but that’s my only criticism. Such a great experience here!

We finally secured a coveted reservation at Feld last night, and it was undoubtedly worth the wait. From the moment we stepped through the door until the final surprise of the evening, every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Feld offers an extraordinary culinary journey, featuring thirty exquisite tastings that celebrate the finest in farm-to-table cuisine. The dishes are meticulously crafted and presented by an exceptionally knowledgeable staff, who elevate the entire experience to a new level of sophistication.

The restaurant's owner, Jake Potashnik, brings a lifetime of passion and expertise to the table. He has honed his craft in some of the most renowned restaurants across Germany, Sweden, and France, and his extensive travels to the world's finest dining establishments have refined his palate and deepened his understanding of the food industry. This wealth of experience has culminated in Feld, a small, intimate dining haven where guests are treated to a new menu daily, with each of the thirty tastings available paired thoughtfully with wine or non-alcoholic options.

Every bite we savored was introduced by the rotating servers, who shared the story behind each dish with genuine enthusiasm and profound knowledge. The flavors were nothing short of luscious, and it was evident that not a single detail was overlooked. This was a dining experience of the highest caliber—one that I will cherish for years to come. Feld comes with my highest recommendation for anyone seeking an unforgettable culinary adventure.

What an amazing restaurant! We had the most amazing meal with the best service possible. The food is prepared in front of the diners, which is fascinating to watch. And it is both beautiful and delicious. This new restaurant deserves Michelin stars and James Beard awards.

What a surprise, from a pop up to a grown up. The experience was educational, inspirational and delicious! Personal touch the Foie Gras came from my father's family farm in MN.

Could not have enjoyed my meal at Feld more. It is an incredible experience rooted in relationships with producers and hyper seasonality. The menu changes so often that going back another time will provide you with an entirely different menu. The team is lovely, Chef is super kind and all tables directly surround the kitchen — so the ambiance is excellent. And, yes, the food was simple and delicious. I highly recommend you go try it for yourself and enjoy this unique, fun and delicious experience. Ignore the handful of mean-spirited and, frankly, unethical reviews floating around out there from a crusty, bitter old writer and a popular publication that are attempting to leverage Chef’s TikTok fame as clickbait to gain paid subscribers. The place is just a few weeks old, and we should all be giving an exciting, young, independent restaurant helmed by a young, local chef a chance to get its feet underneath it.

I had the pleasure of dining at Feld a few weeks back. I found the space warm and welcoming. The food was outstanding with over 30 dishes exploring a range of flavors and presentations. It would be too hard to pick a favorite. The service was spot on. Chef Jake and the team capped the night off by showing us to the back patio that had a fire pit which and will be a perfect for a fall dinner date
