Absolutely fantastic. Three of us shared a bing, dan dan, beef noodle soup, savory dou Hua, and cooked beef shank. All great and we were filled beyond belief.

Lao Peng You is a cozy restaurant with a warm atmosphere and really cool wall decor. The food is incredible, featuring dishes like Dan Dan noodles and hand-pulled noodles, as well as the delicious beef noodle soup that offers fresh noodles and a flavorful broth with the right amount of spice. The pork and chive dumplings are a must-have, while the pork soup dumplings are also a favorite among visitors. The bread is flaky and crunchy, and the beef sauce noodles have a tongue-numbing peppercorn that adds a unique flavor. The space is tiny, with tight counter seating, and it can get a little loud during the lunch rush. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is BYOB, making it a great spot for a nice dinner or takeout. Although there may be a wait, especially on busy nights, it is worth it for the delicious food and enjoyable atmosphere. Self-serve water and well-prepared tables with napkins and utensils enhance the dining experience. The restaurant stops seating at 9:30, which some guests have noted, but the overall experience remains excellent.
