i was pleasantly surprised by first sip cafe. i was dining nearby and decided to try this place out afterwards. the interior is super cute with plenty of seating available. i also love how large the menu is with a lot of unique flavors to try. since this was my first time here, i went with an ube latte. i was surprised with how good the coffee was, strong and not too sweet. i can’t wait to try more of their flavors!

Amazing as always! After many (many) visits First Sip has NEVER been a disappointment! From delicious empanadas and sweet treats, to outstanding, fun and fresh coffee flavors! I got the lemon loaf warm and Dee Dee’s Apple Pie Chai❤️😋

This place is a short walk from my apartment and I love coming here to write. Funny enough, I also work at a coffee shop! But I love being able to sit down and chill outside my house. The baristas are super kind and patient (even when I constantly ask if they're out of lime again 😔). Cool vibes even when they're slammed. I've been coming here on and off for two years and I love seeing this place grow!

I would not recommend this cafe. We had gone late afternoon on Sunday and they were out of quite a lot of things: almond milk, ube syrup, change, loyalty cards, and a working bathroom. Service was slow and I would recommend them having a menu on the wall or somewhere other than the checkout point as it would quicken the service. The dark paint makes the space seem a bit small but that’s just personal preference. I had gotten the toasted coconut matcha latte and the matcha flavor was overwhelmed by the amount of syrup them put in. I would recommend they reduce it in future. We ordered To-Go and I later found a hair in my drink. Drink atmosphere nor service was good enough for me to want to try again.

I give it 5 stars for the friendly and sweet staff and the ability to sit and work on things and charge your laptop and cell phones. It’s so easy to get frustrated working from home or feeling trapped indoors at home sometimes so it’s nice to be able to go to a cafe to read or surf or do work without fear of losing battery power. The sesame pandan latte was good too as well as the matcha strawberry coconut milk drink. Interesting flavors for drinks. Parking on the street and pay through Park Chicago app. Plus cute toys and plants and other fun items for sale.

Being in Argyle, Uptown to pick up some food, I was told to come back in 30 minutes. A warm drink on a slightly chilly fall day didn’t sound like a bad idea, and a coffee shop was just one block away. My first impression was of its vintage décor and the many young customers reading their physical books. A friendly young staff member in a mustard-colored shirt kindly recommended me a nice warm drink. Sitting down and enjoying my first sip brought a wave of emotion — it felt like being in an oasis where everything moved in slow motion. People were sipping coffee, enjoying books, or chatting with their ”physical” friends. It was simply an unforgettable moment. Thank you, “First Sip”, for a wonderful afternoon. Fall feels slower — and somehow more enjoyable. My first visit will definitely not be my last.
Vibes? Immaculate and pristine just like their hanging teacups. Drinks? I ordered the golden coffee with turmeric, ginger, and honey and have never felt healthier in my entire life. Service? Feel like drinks were made faster in years prior; the baristas were super friendly tho. They have amazing merch too. Big fan of their new panda tarot card t-shirt.

Wow!! I loved this place. The food is delicious and the drinks are great. It gives coffee shop but slightly elevated! You can get anything from coffee, soda, tea, and even alcohol!! Also Bailey served me and she was great!! Super friendly and had really helpful suggestions. Overall I loved this place and will definitely be coming back. :)
