This is one of my favourite Mom-&-Pop, hole-in-the-wall restaurants on Argyle! It's been here for many decades and has the best Mee Pork Noodle Soup (or no soup version)! Classic old Asian place meant to double your happiness, specializing in Teochew, a type of cooking in the Guangdong region of China. Double Happiness won't make everyone happy. It's because some people will never be happy, so f*** them. Anyone looking for authentic Chinese will be wise to check it out at lunch. Food options are on the first page of the menu and I'd focus on getting a noodle soup from the multiple options there. We wound up getting an assorted noodle wonton soup and the fish fillet rice stick soup. Complementing the meal were you-tiao for soup dunking, their regional Teochew siu mai (meatball in broth), and radish cake with egg. Love adding the fried garlic condiment at the table to the soups.
