Let me tell you something about Friar Tuck. I ended up there on accident with a friend during a trivia night. We had no trivia team but the host (Lindsay if I recall) made room for me and my friend. Not only that, she took time to talk with us, give us a list of songs to listen to, and literally made the experience more fun than I would’ve expected (as last place in trivia). If you like trivia, definitely play it there. If you like drinks, they got them! 10/10 experience!!!!

Honestly best bar ever. You can bring your own food in but also they have popcorn. Bartenders are amazing, they always remember my name and order, and have the perfect balance of getting your drink quickly but also making casual chit chat. Trivia on Wednesdays with Lindsay is AMAZING, she adds her own flare to it every week. Beware that you need to arrive ~6:30pm to secure a table though.

Just ok today.
A good friend use to live on the Lake so we stopped in.
Bartender was focused on the 3 locals. Absolutely zero engagement.
Could be fun maybe.......
If not a local, I suggest staying in Wrigley

The trivia master was really rude and kept telling us to stop talking. We were playing the trivia and we didn’t have issues with hearing her because we had the tv to supplement her narration but she kept asking us to shut up. I am there to have fun and thought I was at a bar not at the school.

A true local dive bar gem! Staff is witty, playfully sarcastic, and overall a good time. The only place I will take visitors to do a Chicago handshake. Love this place.

Came here for bingo on Sunday night and it was so much fun! Free to play, (2 drink minimum on the big prizes)… bartender was very friendly and quick. Cheap prices for drinks and specials everyday. Free popcorn as well. Cozy dive bar vibes, definitely would come back. You could tell this is where locals come to hangout and gather. Trivia is on Wednesday nights!

2.5 honestly. I have been here a few times. Great bar in terms of ambiance and pricing.
However, I just attended their karaoke party. According to the bartender, I ordered 8 old styles and 4 Jell-O shots. I ordered 5 old styles and 4 jello shots. I raised my concerns with the bartender and was rudely dismissed.
To be honest the extra 12 bucks is not an issue. It’s just the principle. Don’t write orders on sticky notes and use actual POS systems.
