Good customer service. The woman at the window was friendly. The food on the other hand was nasty. The macaroni was old and tasted like vinegar. The mash potatoes was boxed and baked chicken was just okay

The food is wonderful but the prices are ridiculous I brought two meals and paid 85 dollers I wanted to say that’s ok but I was hungry and didn’t fell like going somewhere else but I’ll never go back until the prices go down

The food was sooo good. It's like you cooking in your own personal kitchen. It's not restaurant food. It's definitely soul food. I would recommend to everyone i know before I would recommend any other soul food. Please the customer service is great. Thank you again Ms April.?❤️❤️

This restaurant makes delectable soul food. The turkey wing with the gravy is my all-time favorite from this place due to its texture and flavor. Mac n cheese and the cornbread taste spectacular as well.

This business opened in February. My sister and I were visiting Chicago and wanted some soup food. We were down the street and decided to give it a try. April is super personable and welcoming. The food was delicious. The portion sizes were great, she allowed me to sample the food, and fried my chicken fresh. I'm telling my family in the city about this spot and the next time I'm in town, I'll be back.

The food and service was amazing. I was in town visiting family and my sister and I wanted soul food. This restaurant was down the street from the church we attended. April, the owner, gave us samples of the mac and cheese and collard greens. I ordered the beef short ribs, mac n cheese, yams, greens and dressing. I LOVED everything. I pray success for both April and her employee, Julie.

Very good food. I'm from the south originally. I was in the mood for soul food. I saw this restaurant was having a grand opening. I decided to give it a shot. Now, about my experience.
First of all, the name of the restaurant caught my attention. I then ordered my food. When I got home and proceeded to eat. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Although it was plenty of food. I wanted to go back and order more food. I remember as a kid, my mom saying, your eyes bigger than your stomach.
After my experience, I will be back, again and again. I have a slew of friends and family. I will tell them to stop by and support this black owned business. The owner is very nice. Keep up the great work and much success going forward.

This was the biggest disappointment I’ve ever experienced when it comes to soul food. First and very last time eating here.

I came in Saturday for the first time. Woman at the counter was very friendly. Offered me samples. I was not feeling well. I tried it and it was wonderful. I got 2 turkey wing dinners with dressing and greens. Food was great. A little to pricey for me but I will be back when I don't wanna do it myself. But the food tasted just like your own..She can go.

That food was so nasty ? the chicken was dry the dressing was horrible only thing was ok was the Mac and cheese everything else was nasty and my food was ready for 10 minutes I asked why she said because he ordered first he was waiting on fried food that was fresh to order this would be my first and last time here

The food here is amazing! It’s that good home cooked soul food. My second time coming and plan to come back often. Customer service is great too overall good vibe when you walk in. Definitely recommend them.
