Excellent food. The service is attentive. One of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to.

A delicious dinner from top to bottom. We began our meals with the chips and salsas and queso fundido, then ordered our entrees and forked through Cochinita Pibil and Mole Enchiliadas before simmering down with their coconut Tres Leches and Flan dessert options. The in house hot chocolate was quite the experience on the palate! 10/10 would recommend the bacon pinto beans- I am Mexican and these tasted EXACTLY like my Nana used to make! It tasted just like home. Our tequila-based cocktails were also such a treat. I would order the champagne margarita- but I cut myself off after two! Everything is freshly made and served hot. You will love every second of it!

After having been seated, it took a couple minutes to be waited on however the service was good otherwise. The enfrijoladas con chorizo was amazing & would recommend them to anyone visiting. The Jamaica was a bit on the sweet side but was good nonetheless and overall, would rate the experience a very solid 4/5, next time I'm in Chicago, I know where to go for lunch or dinner.

Awesome drinks and food, service was really good and everyone was super accommodating and friend. Guac and other foods served are pretty spicy for anyone who prefers more mild stuff FYI!

Been wanting to go here for over 10 years and finally made it to Chicago. Food and service were amazing! Our waiter said Rick is there almost every day except Sundays, which is when we went. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. The experience was everything I hoped for and more!

The Ceviche Trios and Tres Leches were great! The Classic ceviche was the best out of the three and omg the combo of tres leches cake with banana icecream and peanuts is ???.Giving the retauraunt a 4 star because our main entrees - Duck Carnitas and Dorado Encacahuatado mahi-mahi - was just OK and not flavorful. Duck was crispy and juicy but that was about it.

UPDATED REVIEW 3/21/24: After about 4 years I returned with my fiance ? I started with some spiked hot chocolate and it was absolutely delicious! Wow! Mexican Hot Chocolate is where it's at! My entree was the pork enchiladas. Those were fire, wow! That sauce is delightful, Chef Bayless knows a thing or two about pork!Have wanted to go here for years, and finally did yesterday. Despite being slammed, our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and service was great. Our drinks never got empty. To start off, it's true that this place has the best guacamole ever. Something about it taste different in a great way (Maybe chives)? The Ceviche was wonderful, and the chicken taquitos were lovely. The Star of the show was the smoke duck breast tacos. Words literally cannot describe how great the smoked duck is with the roasted vegetables. Let me just say this was worth the wait ?

I do not say this lightly, but this completely blew my expectations. I'm a vegetarian so I was a little worried about what options I had, but they actually have a separate vegetarian menu! The service was the best I've ever had at any restaurant. We never had to ask for anything. The staff was so friendly and our water was refilled constantly. The food itself was incredible. This was the best guac I had ever had. The mole was incredible, and the desserts were on another level. Truly the most perfectly executed meal I think I've ever had.

They brought me a warm beer and the Manager came and asked me if I wanted the only beers we have and that all of them are the same. With really poor customer service and a bad face so we left.

Came for the fame of Bid recommendation. Food ingredients was very fresh, a little bit too salty (especially the tortilla soup) for my taste, but overall good. However, the service did not meet the expectations of their 20% MANDATORY TIPS. We have been asked if we want still or sparking water, I said "just water" but they brought us still water anyway. It's my problem that I didn't refuse to it, but I wish they could set "tap water" as default instead of on-demand.

First time back in decades and the tortilla soup lives strong! The $29 60 minute lunch is a no brainer and the $6 upgrade for the Carne Asada was well worth it. The winter spinach was also delicious.

Fantastic service. Exciting and fresh salsas, and cocktails. Try the papaya margarita (it's spicy), and anything with suckling pig. The desserts were beautiful and very good! Overall a little pricy, but your dollar goes a long way if you finish your plates (and tortillas )

I’ve been here many times for lunch, dinner, and special occasions. I can’t believe I hadn’t posted these pictures and others but the service is always excellent. The food and particularly the lunch in 60 is incredible!
