Got the chicken tenders, so good with the spicy butter honey. I went Sunday night when the North Side Fry the Coop locations were closed, worth the drive. The lady got my order when walking in was very polite.

Usually this place is the best. Got messy fried for two today…. Only one chicken tender that was cut up over the fries. Feeling robbed. Barely any chicken

Best American style fried chicken in the city. Also, I ordered to go, checked the sauces, miscounted, asked for one more and they politely gave me an extra sauce. I feel kinda bad now. Whoever you were working there, you were right. My bad.

I Always Gotta Find a Good Local Joint When I'm Out of Town. 😉
So I Discovered Fly the Coop on 95th St in Oak Lawn, IL
The Staff Was Very Nice and Helpful in Helping Me Narrow Down My Order. They Even Gave Me Sample of the Seasoning to Help Me Decide.
I Ended Up Getting the OG Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwhich and a Side of Cole Slaw. Well The Sandwhich was Delicious, However I Wasn't a Fan of the Cole Slaw. ☹️
They Asked Me How Everything Was and I Shared. They Immediately Asked What Could They Give Me Instead??? 🥰🥰
We Settled on the Mac & Cheese and I'm a Mac & Cheese Snob So I Was Hesitant!!! 🤣😂🤣
It Was Actually Very Very Good!! 😋😋😋
But I Was Soo Full from My Sandwhich I Had to Bring Most of it Home.
So If You Are in the Area Check It Out!! 🙂👍

Joe’s the real deal. Granted the menu & service are top-shelf in the Fried Chicken space, the beer & beverage selection are perfectly curated (shout out Pipeworks) and the staff are the best to be found anywhere in the city, but it’s the sincere approach to business and community that sets Fry the Coop above & beyond. 5-stars all around in all that they do ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. The food is incredible and consistent, but so is their staff. They are always the kindest, most easy-going folks. I have never once had a bad experience.
My go-to is the chix n cheese sandwich, but their smack wrap has been a fun menu addition to add to the rotation. Also the smack wrap is incredibly filling and cheap. Make sure to give it a try while they have it!
The emails from Joe are always fun. The rewards program is nice and they have some of the best drink prices in town. You really can’t beat it! They really care about their customers and I will always come back.

Great place to stop in when you are in the city and probably the only place you can get a chicken donut sandwich🫡
My go-to spot after a long shift, I love that they’re open late!!!
While their fried chicken is good, I keep coming back for those beef tallow fried fries. The messy fries are really yummy!!
Service is always quick and friendly 💖
The only thing is I would looooove if they had an option to choose savory pickles over sweet ones. But that’s just my personal preference and I get that sweet pickles match the Midwestern/tavern-style flavors they’re going for.
I love you, Fry the Coop!! Never change!!!

The sandwiches here are amazing. Chicken is crispy, flavorful, delicious. Bun is a bit lacking. But they have great options like spicy butter and giardianera!
Best chicken sandwich I’ve had in Chicago

Tried the new messy fries and is one of my favorite go too. When I know I need food to fill me up for the rest of my busy day. I would eat a messy fry a day if I could the productivity would be limitless.

The food was great, came quickly and was very inexpensive. Parking's not good but that's the neighborhood. It's definitely worth a walk.
