Such a lovely, cozy spot! The food was very nice and service was very friendly and welcoming. This place definitely has a “retro”/ old-fashioned “mom’s/ grandma’s kitchen” vibe and it’s awesome! The atmosphere is warm, calm, and refreshing! Go check it out🥰

The coffee was weak and they only had real sugar on offer. They only buttered the very middle of the toast and no butter on the table. Two packets of jelly were submitted, no choice of flavors. Skimpy on the tzatziki. I paid $20 before tip for an omelette, youd think i could get some butter on the toast

I love this place. It’s a hidden gem. The food is sooooo good and the prices are super reasonable, the very few last places left where you can get a diner type of experience with excellent food and with excellent prices. I always get the Fullerton omelette and it’s about $11 a big delicious omelette, with two toast and hashbrowns. So yummy. Me and my friend always eat there when we are in town and the bill is usually $30. And that’s with sometimes soup that we order on the side. So yummy, I recommend this place 10 fold!

I have been going here for years. So it is with great disappointment that I write this review. When I went for breakfast a couple dined and dashed. The owner of the restaurant (male) was upset (validly so), but he made a very racist remark without even knowing the couple’s ethnicity. He said “espero que no haigan sido mexicanos.” This translates to “I hope they were not Mexicans.” The lady at the register then looked at my father (who is Latino) as if to signal to the owner that there are Latinos present. No hate to the employees, they are just doing their job. But I’m very disappointed to hear the racist remarks from the owner. I will no longer be coming to this restaurant. I recommend Cozy Corner, much better service and tastier food, without the blatant racism.

I’ve lived in Chicago for nearly 25 years and I can say without hesitation that this is the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at in this city. It smells stale, like grandma’s attic. Even the toast was bad. Our server was nice but overall the experience was terrible.
