Was happy to find a late night vegan restaurant. Parked on Altgeld, but there’s paid parallel parking in front. Would definitely classify this as a greasy spoon, so if your stomach needs to eat lighter, review the menu first. If you’re out drinking alcohol, this place is probably perfect!
The atmosphere is fun! CRT TVs playing VHS movies the staff puts on. There’s a wall of old VHS movies and electrode(?) games you can play (bring quarters).

Fry Like An Eagle is an excellent new vegan spot with an eccentric, quirky, and retro ambiance. The food is delicious and incredible, with some fun and experimental menu items. The best corndog ever is a highlight, along with the fried oyster mushroom sandwich, hushpuppies, chicken sandwich, and a great smash burger. The staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient, providing fast service. With tables to dine in, it is a great place to go back and try more of the menu.
