George does it the right way. Incredible crust, creative and tasty pizza. Locals know to order online or youll be waiting a fair bit. Both deep dish and chicago tavern style are excellent.

You’ll find people who debate whether this is truly deep dish or just pan style, but honestly, it’s both. And the most important part is that unlike traditional Chicago deep dish, this is actually really good. Like, really, really good. Highly recommended, probably the best deep dish in Chicago. Definitely worth the trip.

What a gem! If you love pizza and a connoisseur, then you would love this pizza! Handsdown, my favorite is classic cheese pizza. I always say the first time eating at a pizzeria You gotta get there cheese pizza to taste the sauce, the dough and the cheese. Pizza came out fresh super hot just way I like it! We went on a Saturday so that we can try their deep dish/ pan pizza. Man, what can I say about George's pizza dough? It's phenomenal! nice pillowy dough with an amazing chew and flavor! with a very very light caramelized crust I love it. Shits on peqouds in my opinion! His sauce has so much flavor and nice acidic which I prefer. The service was amazing. The owner's mom served us she was a such a sweetheart and a lovely lady. The parking was easy right in front. The restaurant has been completely remodeled has a decent amount of tables and seats. For sure George's is on my top three for deep dish/ pan pizzas in Chicago right now! 100% Recommend!

This place was awful because they wouldn't serve a party of 5! We were visiting Chicago and decided to try Georges. We found it on Google Maps and then looked at the website....all good, or so we thought! Travelled 20m to get there....
When we got there at 5:30p our party of 5 found a locked door with diners inside. When someone unlocked it, the hostess asked us if we had preordered. We said, no and were told that we couldn't stay b/c it would be 90mins until we could eat and that we must pre order. Naturally we left.
When we got back to our car upset, another party of 6 got in their car with the same experience. What kind of place turns down ~$400 in walk-in orders early in the evening???
Nothing on the website insisted a pre-order and what the heck?! Seriously?!
What happens when a deep dish/ tavern style restaurant has a cozy down home diner vibe ??? You get George's Deep Dish taking a Chicago classic and raising it too a level we hardly ever see! Excellence is on the menu and the word disappointment never enters the chat!! Either become a believer by trying or leave this earth never enjoying a slice of the best of the best!!

I don’t feel like I am exaggerating by saying this is some of the best pizza Chicago has to offer. The crust on both deep dish and taven pizzas is something that needs to be experienced.
The love and attention shines through in everything that comes out of that kitchen. Deep dish pizza that is unlike any other in the city, with the most fluffy crust that somehow still has the best exterior bite, holding up their premium toppings so well. And the tavern style crust is so thin and crispy - traditionalist approved!
Y’all just need to go check them out. Simply amazing Chicago pizza no matter what style you prefer.
