Found this place/chain among searches for best biryani places in the Chicago area. Regret to say it most certainly is not. Wanted to get the chicken(bone in) biriyani, but they were out of it, so tried the boneless version. Was a to-go order, realized Raitha/salan wasn't given (standard accompaniments)Doubt basmathi rice was used, as it was lumpy/starchy (vs being light, fluffy, separated). Felt like a concentrate/gravy was used to mix into badly prepared rice, severely lacking flavor. Chicken was ok. Overall 1/5.Also ordered Butter Paneer & a couple of Chapathis (wheat!), both were great! - 4/5Small take out place, about 6-8 tables. 1/5Restroom, faucet wasn't working, no paper. 1/5.

Food was great, and portions were large, and very appropriately priced. Customer service was great too. I placed an order for a pickup and by the time I got to the restaurant in 15 minutes, the food was ready. I highly recommend it.

I think they forget to season their food. Food coloring is not a seasoning. Not even worth as a late night last resort.

Ghareeb Nawaz is our favorite Indian food in Chicago for the convenience and the price. They're open super late, have several locations staggered throughout the city and have a huge menu with lots of variety. Our favorite is the chili chicken (and the green chili chicken as well) It's super spicy and super flavorful with like a smoky grilled chicken, curry, and tandoori spice flavor profile. I've been experimenting with making a copycat recipe at home because my only complaint is the red food dye that gives it its bright red color. This is typical for tandoori chicken though and should totally not turn you off of this place. It's a gem :)

Close to UIC, it's perfect for students. It is cheap, fast, delicious, and has lots of variety. Halaal, too. For like $6, you get butter chicken and paratha, which happens to also be very delicious. The food also comes out within 5 minutes of ordering like magic It's one of the best places I've been to in terms of service.

Food is good but I have found hair in my food every single time. Definitely not gonna go again. Also the chili chicken biryani is beyond spicy so keep that in mind if you decide to order it (I'm Indian).
Better than Devon Ghareeb, better than Lombard.Very close to Little Italy, located in the southwest part of UIC undergraduate East Campus, people are wonderful & the food is magnificent.First Class!

Food always served quickly. All lunch specials are affordable for students and well portioned. The brother at the register is always nice. I had a few bad experiences with spoiled rice bought late evening, so I'd just stick with the paratha dishes.
Massive portions of delicious food all at very reasonable prices.

I’ve been here three times and each time the experience has been great! The workers are so sweet and the food is worth much more than it’s ticket price. The chili chicken paratha especially is quite nice and it’s a very good inexpensive lunch food. It has a well-balanced flavor and the chicken is cooked to be juicy and easy to eat. The portions of biryani are so immense that my friends and I had a really hard time eating all of it?
