Gibsons bar and steakhouse is and will always be one of my favorites. I grew up coming here and make it a point to return when I am back in Chicago, which isn't often enough. We were lucky enough to have Carl as our waiter during our recent visit. He was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. If you're looking for an old school steakhouse with amazing service, here it is. From the waiters wearing butcher coats and ties, to the classic wood/dark interior, this was a fantastic place to have dinner. Our waiter, Carl, went through the entire dinner spiel with us, showing us all of their steaks and how he recommends them being cooked and with what seasonings. We had a dirty martini and a Manhattan, which were a perfect accompaniment to the dinner of the Chicago cut...
Everything was excellent. The management staff is outstanding including Cailey, James, Rick and Jordan, who was the bar manager on Friday night. Everyone made sure our tables, drinks, food and service was impeccable on Friday night from bar to dining room and it was an outstanding experience!
