Kind of divey. Nice atmosphere, has karaoke and trivia. Food is pretty overpriced and underwhelming, drinks are good.

Coming back to our old stomping grounds after almost 15 years! We can't believe our regular Friday/Saturday karaoke nights!!! Service is as friendly as ever-- the owner really knows how to pick his employees!!! There was an issue when we were there with a guest and bartender handled it smoothly. We ordered the loaded fries and it was delicious!!! We needed something to fill our bellies before a concert and this definitely hit the mark! It was so good to be back... Thanks Gio's!!!

The woman hating man/manager behind the bar needs to go. This is a great little neighborhood establishment with great bar food and service (from the women)… but if you happen to BE a woman and the man with awful haircut and nasty goatee is there.. RUN. For your own sake… When he’s not there it is so friendly and chill. However this man is a plague on the business and it’s super unfortunate. I’ve stopped recommending it to people. Especially my girlfriends.

I echo the last female reviewer Meg Casey. Gio's is such a small bar that it's entire existence hinges in the personality of the bartender. I wish more bartenders understood that every person who walks in the door has money to spend. Whether you'd hang with them IRL should be irrelevant. Whether you like them or think they're weird or whatever issue you've got with that person, you should tell yourself that person has money to spend so "maybe" I should be nice to them! But instead what happens is that these bartenders treat their bar as they would a clique in high school. If they like you, you're IN, and if they don't, you're OUT. Jaime has done this to me where he decided he didn't like me, so I stopped going in and spending my money because of how unwelcome he's made me feel.Gios is my neighborhood bar. It's on my block. I have been going here for 3 years. But when Jaime got hired, he decided he didn't like me, and made it clear that I wasn't welcome when he worked so I stopped going. I was going here for a full year before Jaime got hired, and he took my bar away from me. And this new male bartender with the gotee is definitely a woman hating misogynist.Y'all bartenders need to be nice to each and ever customer that comes in. We have money to burn. I make 6 figures personally as a female, and would gladly drop thisusands in here if they were nice to me. But they are not. So I've taken my business to Platform 47.This new bar is amazing and they are NICE to their customers. GEE. A unique concept!

I'm from Kansas City, so I don't like everybody's beef brisket.... But theirs is consistently amazing!!!

The woman bartender is a ROCK star. DJs for the karaoke nights are great sports and super fun. I'm not sure if the other bad reviews I've seen about the owner are also the same guy who works behind the bar? The one with the crusty goatee and brown hair but he gives off the biggest incel vibes. Any interaction me or any of my girls have had with him he's been extremely rude. I once saw him pick out two girls from a huge party (full of men) and yell at them for sneaking in alcohol (they were clearly confused because they weren't the ones doing it). He was rude to my sister when I brought her in on her 21st. And rarely keeps the bathroom restocked with toilet paper. Seems like he wants to run a circle jerk instead of an inclusive business.

Was here on Halloween and it was probably quieter than usual but absolutely great service.

I was looking for a BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich and this place was near where I was. The menu stated they have the best Pulled Pork you ever had, so I stopped by. Although good, it was a little disappointing. There wasn't much meat. There was just a decent portion, but not enough. Other sandwiches in the same price range (about $15) came with a side... but not this one. Also, if you're saying it's the best, you ought to have more than just BBQ pork on a bun. Not one pickle, or Cole slaw (Cole slaw is $3.00 but it's a free side with other sandwiches). Overall, I was dissapointed. Elevate the sandwiche is my final opinion.

Service was really, really good. The bartender was working her butt off while the owner/manager simply sat at the bar drinking Irish coffee, eating brunch, and watching videos on his phone. Why are you there if you are not going to help? Most people were eating brunch during the Bears game, we did not. Food was obviously frozen including wings and onion rings. The onion rings were especially bad. I would recommend they scale down the menu considerably. Regardless, the service was the star of the show.
