Sergio is one of the kindest people I’ve met and immediately puts a smile on my face the second I enter. Everyone is greeted with kindness and respect by

Goddess and the Baker is my go-to spot for a quick but delicious breakfast or lunch in the Loop. I spent about $20 on an avocado toast and an iced matcha latte, and both were spot on—fresh ingredients, great flavors, and solid portion sizes. The vibe is bright and welcoming, and even when it’s busy, the staff keeps things moving. Their bakery selection is dangerously good—I couldn’t resist grabbing a slice of their rainbow cake (worth every bite). Whether you’re grabbing coffee on the run or sitting down for a chill meal, this place always delivers. Definitely one of the best casual cafés downtown!

Such a cool, trendy place. TONS of food and drink options, there's definitely something for everyone. Prices are what I would expect for high quality food. We couldn't find a seat when we went but it was peak brunch time. I would definitely go back many times!

This is a lovely spot to take a break, grab a coffee, and enjoy the view of the city. It’s the perfect place to relax and take in the sights, whether you’re taking a short pause during your day or just enjoying some quiet moments. The atmosphere here really adds to the experience, making it a great place to recharge and appreciate the surroundings. 🇺🇸

Cute spot but the food was lackluster. This is not a caramelized onion. The main flavor was whatever cooking fat they are using. Watery egg scramble. The pastries looked good but I did not try.

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Goddess and the Baker, and I can’t say enough great things about the experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, vibrant, and full of positive energy.

The coffee? Simply exceptional—rich, flavorful, and brewed to perfection. The food was equally impressive, with every bite tasting fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Whether you’re craving something savory or sweet, this spot has you covered!

What truly made the experience unforgettable was the outstanding service from Addy. They were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Addy’s warm demeanor and exceptional customer service truly set the tone for an amazing visit.

Goddess and the Baker has quickly become one of my favorite places. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great coffee, delicious food, and an exceptional team who genuinely cares about your experience. I’ll definitely be back!

Great selection of gluten-free & vegan pastries. Limited seating, but with most people only getting quick bites, they open up fairly quickly...

Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian all labeled.

We intended to go to Peet’s (next door) but when we got there it was closed… good thing too as it led us to this place which was way better! AWESOME gluten free selection, delicious food and coffee, super nice people and great service. The pastry options are ridiculous. So good.

A hot breakfast burrito, machiotto, and a fresh chocolate croissant got our day off to a great start.

I really don’t like leaving bad reviews but damn, i have to. Only two people out of seven of them behind the bar were actually working, i only ordered two pastries and somehow that got messed up and i got a wrong item. The whole process was extremely slow.

This place is always freezing. Until they fix their door issues, I will be going elsewhere. There are much better cafe options nearby.

Nice little breakfast spot with extensive menu of healthy breakfasts, coffees and juices.

Service is good and food tastes well, but a little bit on the pricier end for what you get.

- Value for money? No
- Worth a detour? No
- Best for (occasion)? Healthy breakfast
- Would I go back? With lack of options
