I wanted to share feedback from a recent visit that was honestly disappointing. I arrived with a friend who had already been seated. When I got there, a server asked what I wanted to order. I politely said I needed a moment. After that, I was ignored for 30–45 minutes—no check-in, no follow-up, no acknowledgment—despite actively trying to get service.

When the server finally returned, his tone was abrupt and dismissive asking “ what do you want! “ No apologies for the wait, no explanation as to why it took so long return , nothing. Simply “ what do you want .” Given the length of time I’d been waiting and the manner in which I was addressed, I asked to speak with a manager. The manager was professional, but the situation should never have reached that point.

As a Black woman returning to the neighborhood I grew up in, it was especially disheartening to experience service that felt unequal and disrespectful—particularly as one of the only Black patrons in the establishment at the time.

I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect basic courtesy and fair treatment. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses service consistency and bias awareness moving forward. There’s absolutely room for improvement as I see this as a coaching opportunity and learning lesson. However, I will not be back.

We live nearby and always pass GT Brewery. Finally paid a visit and totally enjoyed it. It's inviting, spacious, and clean. Had a great waiter too - Isaac was super nice and attentive, making sure our visit was the best. He got hot toddies for us when we requested a hot alcoholic beverage - an extra effort for him. Good job! We'll be back!

We had a New Year’s Eve dinner at Good Times, one of our favorite places in our neighborhood. The chicken wings with mango and habanero sauce were super yummy. The side salad had a generous portion of fresh veggies with balsamic dressing. We also loved their Christmas and New Year decorations.

I was hoping new gigantic storefront sign was them trying to get people in again for a positive experience.
Sadly, the experience was as bad as their new sign is tacky.

They proudly call a burger 1/4 pound on menu. That turns out to be a skimpy, thin patty. It’s really sad that pub burgers don’t exist anymore around chicago.
Meat tasted off and didn’t finish second half.
Ordered medium well, got no char if not actually underdone.

Service tried but came off as rude and/or untrained.

Would have enjoyed the decor and respected the manager’s attempt at resoling communication issue with bartender if the food had any quality.

Absolutely loved this place. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is vibrant, and the service is outstanding. Highly recommend the Makhani Pasta and Masala Fries.

Bartenders are very attentive. I like the new daily specials, and happy hour deals. Monday is 1/2 off the BYO pizza, and the pizza is Pats pizza, so this is a plus. I like the marsala fries, spicy and delicious. Beers are exceptional made on site.

I’m not sure how I’ve missed seeing this place considering that it’s HUGE, but I got to stop by one night during the week and check them out. I love that their brewery is front and center and that they actually offer tours of it and the beers they make (and regularly rotate) go perfectly with their menu. They also have trivia nights, live music, daily specials, happy hour deals and are a cool option for if you need somewhere to watch a game.

My favorite were the garlic parm wings and the berry cider that I had. Nice spot!

We held an event with audio and video for a birthday party. The folks working did a fantastic job accommodating what we needed and helping us get set up. They also made sure we had enough food and drinks throughout the night. Would definitely come back for another event!

Great bar! We hosted a big event for our Task Master party and they reserved a whole space for us and had waiters checking in on us. Great service and great prices!!

Restaurant advertises on inkind app, when I went to pay was told by our server Rinku it’s not something they accept. Restaurant should resolve this with the app instead of telling customers their listing on app is a glitch.

Good times is exactly that - always a good time! We love coming to this place- it’s a great neighborhood spot with a solid beer selection, something for everyone and lots of local flavor. The staff is the friendliest- we always feel so welcome and have a great time hanging out with the team. Special thanks to Rinku- every time we come in she greets us with a huge smile and remembers our orders. She’s so friendly and takes excellent care of us- we love seeing her, she’s like family! When we had our daughter, she celebrated with us and went out of her way to bring us flowers, balloons and a cookie dessert. She is the sweetest and it makes our visits to Good Times even sweeter!
