Grand Lux Cafe

We love the Grand Lux Café brand – and have eaten many times at the Las Vegas locations and it is one of our favorite restaurants, so we were over the moon to see one in Chicago! We visited for dinner, and the restaurant is nicely decorated in typical Grand Lux/Cheesecake Factory style – it was a Friday evening so super busy. We were promptly seated and had a very friendly, welcoming, and chatty server ? We opted to share Buffalo Chicken Twists, Chicken Samosas to start and Chicken & Apple Sandwich as the entrée. All the food was nice, but it just wasn’t as spectacular as what we remember it being like in Vegas. When visiting Vegas, we would rate the Grand Lux there a solid 9/10, however Chicago seemed to be more like a 6/10 for the food sadly. It could be that we were jet lagged having just arrived from London, but it just didn’t seem to hit the spot. Overall, we would certainly give it another try – maybe next time when we aren’t so jet lagged! If you have never been though, the menu is HUGE and there are some amazing dishes on the menu that cater to everyone, so this is really a must try. One small concern we had, was this was a busy Friday night and one of the first things we saw when entering the restaurant was the presence of an ARMED guard. Having just arrived from the UK, where we do not see guns, this was alarming and concerning – and somewhat unnerving, hopefully this was just for a precaution – but having traveled all over the USA and eaten in many Cheesecake Factories and Grand Lux locations, we have never seen this before!

Haven’t had apple pie in a year and the apple pie here is soooo good. Don’t know if there’s any other apple pies in Chicago but since this is the only one I’ve found in Chicago I’ll give it 9 out of 10!! 1 for a little too sweet but still, really really good.

Must must MUST! Flew into Chicago for a quick getaway and will be back here EVERY single time I visit. The food was INCREDIBLE! The atmosphere was beautiful the service was incredible! If you are a foodie like me add this to your list next time you’re in Chicago! The only thing you’ll be disappointed about is not having this in your city!

The best of our Chicago visit. Excellent location, beautiful art decoration. Food is exquisite with a good variety of entrees at reasonable prices. The salads are well prepared and like the mushroom soup. Been here twice and will gladly return. Attentive and friendly service. Thanks to Bartender Chris and waitress Ruth.

Upon arriving the wait time was horrible and the place appeared pretty empty. But my waitress made up for it!! Tatiana was very friendly and was on point. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in with us every time she walked pass. She kept the kids drinks full and even took a moment to chat with them, which made their day!! The food was excellent and it came out pretty quickly!!! Definitely coming back the next time I'm in Chicago it was worth every penny!!!!

Great atmosphere the dining area was fantastic! The food was great! They did forget our rolls but that was ok. It was pretty packed we were told to wait about 30 mins. We waited about 20-25 minutes and we sat at the bar. The bar service was ok but the bartender was rude, and busy. I had to pay for my beverage before going to the table. Which was crazy but ok!! I had the Grilled Chicken and Avocado Salad and pot stickers/dumplings. I would give the food a 3 stars. Experience was a 4 for the atmosphere and food. Experience was good!!

04oct23, amazing serving size against what they charge. Everything was on point, taste serving size, service. I'd recommend anyone e searching for a good place to have dinner. Perfect for tourist ?

That was a very disappointing visit. We had reservations for dinner, when we talked to the host she didn’t say hi, didn’t smile, she looked completely miserable. We got to out table and it took at least 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. We ordered drinks and again, it took forever to arrive. Our server was somewhat friendly, but we were shocked by the overall service here and the lack of friendliness from the hostess. I gave 2 stars because the food was decent, but I would never go back here.

? Great ambiance and comfortable chairs the food was definitely great and our server Stella was above and beyond, she made the experience much better…

Being a lifelong Chicagoan, going to the Grand Luxe was a favorite of mine. The location, the food and the atmosphere. Now? It’s almost a shell of what it used to be. Half of the restaurant is closed off due to lack of staff, the prices are higher for now average food. $5.50 for a class of Lemonade? $4.50 for a soda? Spinach dip that was cold, not once but twice with chicken tenders over cooked and hard.The wait staff were great along with the Mgr on duty who tried to make it right. Definitely not what it used to be.

GRAND LUX CAFÉ IS A STEAL. I'm finding out what's going on with the identity theft of customers' credit cards at the grand lux cafe. It is a scam that they are hiding from managers. No wonder the charges to my card of $500 usd after going to dinner there. I demand a thorough investigation. It is helpless that managers do nothing about it and do not support customers. I join the investigation. I am very upset. do not entrust your cards to the restaurant. I demand that an executive from Grand Lux ​​Café handle my case, and that they not hide the security videos for the investigation. I will tell everyone I know never to go to Grand Lux ​​Café again. many years being my favorite place. what a big disappointment. IT'S A THEFT

I do not recommend GRAND LUX CAFÉ BE VERY CAREFUL ALERT ? I was a loyal customer for many years and was disappointed and disappointed. They stole my credit card identity and used my chip to make a $2,400 purchase within 15 minutes of processing my account charge. My credit card was completely new (The numbers and plastic of my card), so it was very easy to detect that the fraud came from GRAN LUX CAFÉ, because the only person to have my new credit card was the person who attended my table (I will not say his name for my safety). Alert the managers, the manager DONOVAN LEWIS and LIDIA, I have done it twice and they have not wanted to show me the videos, and they have not given me importance. They judged me crazy. I made a report to the police. The bank (Bank of America) disputed the charge of $2400 in favor of the crime on the grounds that I PHYSICALLY USE the chip on my card. I want to leave my Testimonial here for future clients, do not trust your cards when paying, this bad experience can happen to anyone. I am very disappointed. Do not go to GRAND LUX CAFÉ or you will get a surprise like mine. I am disappointed in the bank that favored crime and disappointed that GRAND LUX CAFÉ that does not support the security of my payment as a client and lends itself to identity THEFT. Great lunch spot. Service and food were good. We got the Chicken Royale and was delicious. It’s a great location. We had a booth by the window overlooking Michigan Ave and enjoyed the people-watching. Only negative was one of the booth seats was significantly ripped and sticking up so not very comfortable. I forgot to take a pic of the food but here’s one of the dining area and view from our table.

Server was very friendly & we all thought the best server we had on our whole trip. All the food was wonderful! The garlic chicken was everyone's favorite, but we all enjoyed it all.
