Came here for a night cap. The server and host were very accommodating. We didn’t have a reservation but were able to secure a table. The live entertainment, a pianist, was taking requests for songs and it was a fun atmosphere. The coffee old fashioned was quite good.

Was with a group and we had a table. The entire hour we were there one drunk-dude was harassing the musicians even interrupted their ability to play music and went all around with impunity making an a$$ out of himself. Manager did absolutely nothing about it. No repercussions—it was a total vibe killer. Dude should have be shoved outside. Nobody actually manages the chaos here.

Went to the bar 5 minutes before happy hour ended and the bartender took my card and waited until 8:01 to charge me full price. They also charge an automatic 21% tip. When I called him out, he said too bad happy hour was over- seems petty since I was only ordering one drink. Wouldn’t go back based on this rude encounter.

An amazing first date location or just a place to hang out and grab a drink and listen to good music. I love coming out on Wednesday’s for Lauren Hall’s show because she BRINGS THE ENERGY. And the staff are always super nice. Nathan, at the host stand, knows to leave a table for us and Pedro and Victoria make us feel right at home. Becoming a regular at grapes and grains makes me feel special!

Go to Grapes and Grains if you want the the best live music / piano bar experience in Chicago. The vibes here are unbeatable, especially on Wednesday nights when Lauren Hall graces the stage with her insane vocals.
The atmosphere is full of good energy. Everyone truly connects over the amazing music, and there's something really fun about requesting songs and hearing them performed beautifully. Amazing service too. Victoria is a standout with her warm personality and attentive approach. She makes sure everything is just right, adding personal touches throughout the night.
Becoming a regular is easy here! It's simply the best!
