First neighborhood bar I discovered upon moving to Chicago 2 years ago and it’s by far my favorite. Great spot for dates, pre or post cubs games, or just stopping in for a relaxing drink. Wish I lived right next door.

A couple blocks from Wrigley Field, Guthries is always a fun time! Gather a group, grab a table and a few games from the wall, and order a pizza to be delivered! Great for pre and post Cubs games or just for a typical Chicago neighborhoody night out. Typical dive bar drinks and beer on tap. It can get crowded, especially game or concert nights.

We hosted our wedding welcome party at Guthries and could not recommend it more highly! Sarah and her team were amazing- they were responsive in the planning, super accommodating during the event for us and our guests and really went above and beyond (they ran out to get serving utensils when the catering order forgot them). We were so thrilled to be able to have this event at one of our favorite Chicago bars. Would highly recommend hosting an event here, or just stopping by for a visit!
