We go here every few weeks...usually very good, but this time the grill was not nearly hot enough even after a few times of fiddling with it by the server and manager. Our food took about 30 minutes to come out...the raw plates of meat for us to cook ourselves. That's not normal not ideal. The server noticed it and checked on it for us—she was very friendly. So by the time we got our raw meat, we were ready to eat...tossed it on the grill and 10 minutes later (literally) one side wasn't even done yet. These are supposed to be 90-120 seconds on the grill and be done. Finally they noticed there were two flame guards/shields when there was supposed to be one, so they took them both off. Grill was still not hot enough, so I ended up flipping the grate to lower the surface by half an inch or so, finally we were able to cook at a decent rate and got the rest of our meat (we'd ordered the set...meat lovers?) All in all was a pretty bad experience, but other times there have been good so we'll be back.

This was my boyfriend and I first time going here. It was a good first time experience. The waitress helped us choose the right meal course just for us and our drinks that fit us both. I learned how to use chopsticks and cook on a grill. It was a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend going with your significant other !

Great food and concept. Overall servers was kind except when I informed them of a minor miscommunication which made it awkward but overall good. The music is crazy intense, full of upbeat dance/edm music which is a little odd for a dining place.

Dani was our server tonight and she was AMAZING! We’ve also been served by Bianca and Josh in the past, and they are always awesome as well. My partner and I always have a great experience when we visit (which is quite often), and tonight’s team set the bar high. Although we had a reservation and didn’t get seated till well after, they explained why and made sure the service was still top notch. I always recommend this place to family and friends, and you should too. ☺️

We just stopped in for lunch, and we had the best little day date together. The food was so good, and our bartender/server. Daniel is definitely one of the better restaurants that we’ve ever met. The people working in the kitchen also made everything super fresh and it looked really pretty. I am a regular here, but usually for dinner, lunchtime is a great option with their happy hour specials on food and drinks at the bar, shout out to the team today, will be back as always!

I had a wonderful time at Gyu-Kaku! The food was great and there were options for everyone. I went for my birthday and the staff was very accommodating and the service was outstanding. Everyone had a great time and we're talking about our awesome experience after we left.
Antonio was one of the best servers. This is one of our favorite spots but we never had a server plan out our food the way he did. Everything was perfect!

We ended up waiting for around 20 minutes before being served. We didn't have anyone go to our table until I had to go up and ask the hostess where our server was. Even then, someone else had to get our initial orders in since they couldn't find our main waiter. I will say, the food was great however.
